Public invited to TTC public forum on accessible transit


The public are invited to provide ideas on how to make the Toronto Transit Commission’s services and facilities better for people with disabilities on June 17 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Queen Elizabeth Exhibit Hall, Exhibition Place.

TTC Commissioners, staff, and members of the Advisory Committee on Accessible Transportation (ACAT) will be on hand to hear from the public on matters of the accessibility of conventional and to-the-door (Wheel-Trans) public transit services in Toronto.

Accessible shuttle bus service will operate from Bathurst Station, which is accessible, to the Queen Elizabeth Exhibit Hall at Exhibition Place, starting at 6 p.m. and returning starting at 9:30 p.m. Accommodations being provided at the meeting include accessible washrooms, barrier-free entrances, attendants, PA system, assistive listening devices, American Sign Language and captioning.
