TTC public forum on accessible transit still on tonight

TTC’s second annual public forum on accessible transit services

When:

Tuesday, June 23, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Where:

Queen Elizabeth Building, Exhibition Place

Who:

TTC staff and the Advisory Committee on Accessible Transportation (ACAT).

Members of the public are invited to provide ideas on how to make the Toronto Transit Commission’s services and facilities better for people with disabilities.  Exhibition Place is not affected by the current labour disruption at the City of Toronto.

TTC Commissioners, staff, and members of the Advisory Committee on Accessible Transportation (ACAT) will be on hand to hear from the public on matters of the accessibility of conventional and to-the-door (Wheel-Trans) public transit services in Toronto.

Let us know how the TTC can make the system better for our customers with disabilities. The meeting will take tonight, at the Queen Elizabeth Building, Exhibition Place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Accessible shuttle bus service will operate from accessible Bathurst Station to the Queen Elizabeth Building at the CNE grounds starting at 6 p.m. and returning starting at 9 p.m. Accommodations being provided at the meeting include accessible washrooms, barrier-free entrances, attendants, PA system, assistive listening devices, American Sign Language and captioning.
