TTC Adult tickets to be eliminated

Sunday September 28, 2008 is the last day Adult tickets will be accepted as valid fare on the TTC. TTC Commissioners approved the elimination of the Adult ticket to reduce $3 million to $4 million annual loss due to counterfeiting. Customers will have until October 31, 2008 to exchange their tickets for tokens. Exchanges must be made in person. Exchanges can be made at two locations:

    * Bloor - Yonge Subway Station
      Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Or

    * Metropass Discount Plan (MDP) Office, 1900 Yonge Street (Davisville Station-street level)
      Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Exchanges of 50 or more adult tickets must be done at the MDP Office.

Student/Senior and Child tickets remain valid and will continue to be sold and accepted by the TTC. Tokens are available at subway collector booths or at more than 1,200 authorized TTC agents.
