TTC Adds Two Accessible Routes

Media Advisory

TORONTO ON--(Marketwire - May 5, 2008) - The TTC is pleased to introduce two more accessible bus routes. Starting on Sunday, May 11, the 32 Eglinton West and 307 Eglinton West bus routes will be wheelchair and scooter friendly.

Sixty-five per cent of the TTC's bus routes (110 of 167 routes) are now accessible.

The new routes will be served by low-floor, kneeling buses equipped with a flip-ramp. These buses can be identified by blue lights on either side of the front destination sign, and the blue international wheelchair symbol displayed above the front right bumper next to the entrance door.

All fully accessible buses include two wheelchair/scooter positions. The TTC now has more than 1,200 accessible buses in its fleet - and more are coming!
