On October 20, 2025, the TTC hosted its Public Forum on Accessible Transit in a hybrid (in-person and virtual) format. This event is held annually to hear from the public about the accessibility of conventional TTC and door-to-door Wheel-Trans public transit services in Toronto.
TTC staff shared a presentation highlighting accessibility initiatives and plans for the continued improvement of transit in Toronto, including an update on the Easier Access program and the Wheel-Trans 10-year Strategy. The presentation was followed by a facilitated question and answer period, which provided the opportunity for customers to ask questions, share their experiences, provide feedback, concerns and other comments directly to the panel of senior management and the ACAT Chair.
More than 100 people participated in the event in-person at the MaRS Discovery District and online. Feedback gathered through the event will be used to inform the TTC’s accessibility planning activities.
A summary of all questions and comments received through the livestream chat, advance submissions, comment cards, and in-person discussions during the Forum is being prepared, along with responses from TTC departments where appropriate.
The full Q&A and feedback summary will be available in the coming weeks.
