Escalator to the Yorkdale Station platform
Easier Access Program

Yorkdale station

Project overview

Construction to Yorkdale Station will continue until December 2021. Work will include installation of a new elevator, accessible fare gates, redesign of the main entrance with a glass canopy and sheltered bike parking.

The station will remain open at all times however there will be a “no-parking” restriction in front of the main entrance. Temporary stopping will be permitted however due to the construction activity there will be limited space. Customers are encouraged to use the Ranee Avenue entrance (PRESTO only) if they are being picked up or dropped off. The entrance is located immediately south of Yorkdale Road.

Project update

On October 18, 2017, TTC hosted an open house to share details about upgrades that are planned for Yorkdale Station. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2018 and be completed by mid-2020. The upgraded station will include a new elevator, improved lighting, signage and a redesign of the main entrance with glass canopy. The station will also feature new sheltered bike parking and full PRESTO access. Further details are available on the project site or by subscribing for regular updates.
