Ongoing work on Harlandale Avenue
Work description and purpose
TTC and its contractor mobilized on February 21, 2024 to conduct duct bank construction along the south curb lane of Harlandale Avenue. Work on Harlandale Avenue is ongoing.
What to expect during construction on Harlandale Avenue
- The project involved constructing two shafts on Harlandale Avenue between Beecroft Road and Yonge Street. A duct bank between the two shafts has been constructed underground.
- Noise, dust, and vibration associated with construction can be expected with this work. Efforts will be made to keep levels to a minimum.
Work hours
- Work is typically taking place daily Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Some overnight activity is required for safety.
Pedestrian and motorist details
- The south sidewalk and TTC entrance on Harlandale Avenue has re-opened.
- To ensure a safe work zone and to maintain one-way, eastbound traffic on Harlandale Avenue, some existing on-street Green P parking stalls and taxi stands have been temporarily restricted.
- No westbound vehicle access from Yonge Street onto Harlandale Avenue.
- Access to the Green P parking lot on Harlandale Avenue is unaffected (Carpark 403).
