Bathurst Street, Lake Shore Boulevard West, & Fleet Street intersection and immediate area

Construction update

The City of Toronto has completed watermain replacement at the intersection of Bathurst Street, Lake Shore Boulevard West and Fleet Street intersection. In addition, the City of Toronto and TTC have completed streetcar renewal at the same intersection.  

The TTC has also completed the replacement of the curved streetcar tracks at the Bathurst Street/Eireann Quay and Queens Quay.

TTC crews are now renewing the streetcar tracks on Bathurst Street, from Front Street to King Street. The TTC expects this work to be completed by June 1, 2025. Once this work is completed, TTC crews will begin testing the new tracks and overhead wiring to ensure safe and reliable operations before regular streetcar service resumes on June 22, 2025.

TTC service impacts due to construction

509 Harbourfront streetcars have been temporarily suspended since March 30, 2025between Union Station and Spadina/Queens Quay. 510A Spadina streetcars have been providing service in this area.at an increased service level.

509B Harbourfront replacement buses are continuing to provide service between Spadina/Queens Quay and Exhibition Loop.

The 511 Bathurst streetcar has been diverting since mid-February 2025 as follows:
  • 511 Bathurst streetcars: from Bathurst Station to King Street West at Spadina Avenue (Charlotte Loop).
  • 511B Bathurst replacement buses: from Bathurst Street and Queen Street West to Exhibition Loop.

 

Wheel-Trans services continue to be accessible in all areas where local traffic is permitted.

The TTC anticipates regular service on the 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst routes to resume in late June 2025.
