Why work with us?

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is North America’s third largest transit system and has been recognized a top employer in the GTA and Canada. Guided by a forward-thinking strategic plan, the TTC’s vision is to be a transit system that makes Toronto proud.

The TTC has also been named one of Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity (2022) by Forbes. Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to identify the Canadian companies most dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion with their inaugural ranking of Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity. The list was compiled by surveying 10,000 Canadians working for businesses with at least 500 employees in Canada. The final list ranks the 150 employers that not only received the most recommendations but also boast the most diverse boards and executive ranks and the most proactive diversity and inclusion initiatives.

NEW – Diversity and Inclusion Questionnaire

Candidates who apply for positions at the TTC will notice a new feature in the application process. As part of the TTC’s commitment to upholding the values of equity, diversity, anti-racism and inclusion in the workplace, applicants will be asked to complete a questionnaire that asks a variety of questions related to diversity. A summary of the responses received from all completed questionnaires will be used to help identify barriers to employment, to assess application trends, and to inform the development of TTC recruitment and outreach programs. Your participation in completing the questionnaire is completely voluntary, and no program, service or benefit will be withheld if you choose not to answer the questions. Any information provided will be kept in the strictest of confidence and will be used on an aggregate basis only for the purposes collected. Access to the collected information will be limited to the Talent Management department.

The TTC is committed to providing accessibility throughout its recruitment process. For any accommodation inquiries, please contact TTC Human Resources – Talent Management at 416-393-4564 or email jobs@ttc.ca.
