SEE MEETING MINUTES
A special meeting of the Toronto Transit Commission was held in Committee Room 3, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 commencing at 9:30 a.m.
Present - Committee of the Whole
H. Moscoe, J. Mihevc, B. Ashton, B. Balkissoon, P. Li Preti, S. Bussin, A. Giambone, O. Chow and B. Saundercook (Commissioners), R. Ducharme (Chief General Manager), V. Rodo (General Manager – Executive & General Secretary), G. Webster (General Manager – Operations), J. Sepulis (General Manager - Engineering & Construction), B. Leck (General Counsel), W. Buffett (Assistant General Secretary) and F. Stanois (Co-ordinator - Secretariat Services) were present.
V. Rodo, General Secretary was in the Chair.
Z. Mia, Mayor’s Office was also present.

Declaration of Interest - Municipal Conflict of Interest Act

1. Declaration of Appointed Office
The City of Toronto Council appointed H. Moscoe, J. Mihevc, B. Ashton, B. Balkissoon, S. Bussin, P. Li Preti, A. Giambrone, O. Chow and B. Saundercook as members of the Toronto Transit Commission.
The General Counsel for the Toronto Transit Commission administered the Declaration of Appointed Office to the Commissioners.
The General Counsel then declared the Commission duly constituted.
2. Election of Chair and Vice-Chair
The General Secretary called for nominations for Chair.
Commissioner Mihevc, seconded by Commissioner Chow, nominated Commissioner Moscoe.
With No Further Nominations, The General Secretary Closed The Nominations And After A Vote In Favour Of Commissioner Moscoe, Declared Him Chair Of The Toronto Transit Commission.
The General Secretary called for nominations for Vice-Chair.
Commissioner Mihevc, seconded by Commissioner Giambrone, nominated Commissioner Chow.
With No Further Nominations, The General Secretary Closed The Nominations And After A Vote In Favour Of Commissioner Chow, Declared Her Vice-Chair Of The Toronto Transit Commission.
H. Moscoe assumed the Chair.
Commissioner Li Preti Moved That Staff Be Requested To Report Back On The Question Of Whether The Commission Should Amend Its Procedures To Include A Sunset Clause For Appointments Made To The Position Of Chair.
The Motion By Commissioner Li Preti Carried.
3. Appointments – TTC Committees
The Commission had before it a report dated June 22, 2005 entitled, “Appointments – TTC Committees.”
The Commission Approved The Following Appointments:
