Streetcar Service Changes


Streetcar routes currently impacted by a service change.

The following streetcar routes have service changes due to various construction projects.  Please visit this page regularly to stay up to date on all streetcar service changes. You can also follow @ttcnoticessubscribe to e-Alerts, or plan your trip using our Trip Planner.

  • 501/301 Queen

    There are currently two service changes on this route.

    Effective March 31, 2024 until further notice

    Service on the 301 Queen will be restored to streetcar service. Streetcars will operate between Long Branch Loop and Neville Park Loop diverting via Spadina Avenue, King Street and Church Street to bypass Ontario Line construction at Queen Street and Yonge Street.

    Existing 301 Queen bus service will be renamed to 301B Queen and operate between Bathurst Street and Broadview Avenue and Gerrard Street East every 30 minutes.

    Eastbound buses: east Queen Street, south Bay Street, east King Street, north Church Street, east Queen Street, north Broadview Avenue, east Gerrard Street to St Matthews Road.

    Westbound buses: north St Matthews Road, east Jack Layton Way, south Broadview Avenue west Queen Street, south Church Street, west Richmond Street, north Bay Street, west Queen Street to Bathurst Street.

    Effective February 18, 2024

    501A Queen streetcars will operate between McCaul Loop and Dufferin Gate Loop via Dufferin Street until 10 p.m. 

    Customers can transfer between 501A Queen streetcars and 504B King or 508 Lake Shore streetcars to continue on Queen Street, west of Dufferin Street.

    After 10 p.m., 501C Queen streetcars will operate between McCaul Loop and Long Branch Loop operating along Queen Street. 301 Queen night service will remain unchanged.

  • 504/304 King 

    There is currently one service change on this route.

    Effective Sunday, February 18, 2024 until December 2024

    Due to watermain replacement and track renewal on King Street West between Dufferin Street and Shaw Street, 504A/504B/304 King streetcars will be required to divert.

    504 King streetcars will divert onto Queen Street West between Roncesvalles Avenue and Shaw Street. 504A King streetcars will continue to operate between Dundas West Station and Distillery Loop. 504B King streetcars will operate between Humber Loop and Broadview Station before 10 p.m. After 10 p.m., 504B King streetcars will operate between Roncesvalles Avenue and Broadview Station.

    304 King streetcars will divert onto Queen Street West. between Roncesvalles Avenue and Shaw Street, operating between Dundas West Station and Broadview Station.

  • 508 Lake Shore

    There is currently one service changes on this route.

    Effective February 18, 2024

    508 Lake Shore streetcars, which normally travel along King Street on weekdays, will divert via Queen Street and Shaw Street, to regular route.

  • 512 St Clair 

    Starting Sunday, September 3, 2023 multiple construction projects will take place along St Clair Avenue and at St Clair West Station, requiring 512 St Clair streetcars to be replaced by buses from St Clair Station to Gunns Loop, until summer 2024. During this time, stops will be served at the curbside along the route. Bus service at St Clair West Station will also be impacted in the following ways:

    33 Forest Hill and 126 Christie

    Buses will not enter St Clair West Station. There will be no change to routing or service levels.

    90 Vaughan

    90 Vaughan will divert both ways to Bathurst Station, via Vaughan Road and Bathurst Street.

    To access St Clair West Station on Line 1, southbound customers can use a temporary stop on Vaughan Road, north of St Clair Avenue, and walk approximately 5 minutes to the station, or transfer to an eastbound 512 St Clair replacement bus at Vaughan Road and St Clair Avenue West.

    The northbound 90 Vaughan stop is on Vaughan Road, north of St Clair Avenue.

    The 312 St Clair night bus will continue to operate on its normal route, but will not enter St Clair West Station. Customer access to St Clair and St Clair West Station will not be impacted and subway service will continue.
