5G cellular service in select areas of the system and Wi-Fi in all stations

5G cellular service available in select areas of the subway system

You can now access high-speed internet and cellular service in a number of tunnels and at all stations on Lines 1 and 2 between Bloor-Yonge and St George to talk, text and stream. Service is also available at Castle Frank, Sherbourne and Dupont stations, and at stations between Spadina and Keele.

Customers can call 9-1-1 in the areas where cellular service is available. If an emergency occurs on a subway train, please press the Yellow Emergency Strip located above the windows. This immediately notifies the Operator and Transit Control of the emergency, ensures the subway will stop at the next station and emergency personnel are dispatched.

Wi-Fi in stations

Wi-Fi service is available at all subway stations in the system. Check out www.tconnect.ca for more details.

To connect your mobile device to the Wi-Fi network, select network: TCONNECT within your device’s Wi-Fi setting. Once you select the network and open a browser you will see a welcome screen with instructions for access.

There is no cost to connect within the TTC subway system; however, TCONNECT is ad-supported, meaning an advertiser is sponsoring the Wi-Fi service with short ads. This generates revenue for the TTC.

There is no Wi-Fi coverage between stations and in tunnels but as soon as the train enters the next station your device should automatically re-connect to the Internet. If it doesn’t, select the TConnect network and open a browser to connect again.

If you have questions or difficulty accessing the TCONNECT Wi-Fi network please send us a message at info@TCONNECT.ca or call our Help Desk at 416-777-9434 (WiFi).
