What we are doing and why:

As part of TTC’s plans to maintain a state of good repair and continue to modernize the system, the TTC is conducting work along St. Clair Avenue at St Clair Station.

As early as Monday, April 1, 2024, the elevator connecting the concourse level to the Line 1 northbound platform will be taken out of service to reroute some of the elevator services and associated equipment in preparation for the future Streetcar Off-loading Platform Replacement, and protective hoarding will be in place. Protective hoarding separates customers from work zones for safety reasons.

During this time, customers with accessibility needs will have to board the Line 1 northbound train to Finch Station from Bloor/Yonge Station or Davisville Station.

The generators located by the busbay of St Clair Station will be removed during this time.

Noise, vibration, and work hours:

  • Noise, dust, and vibration associated with construction can be expected with this work. Efforts will be made to keep levels to a minimum.
  • Majority of the work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. As permitted, some weekend and overnight work may be required during the course of this project for safety and efficiency.
