Lansdowne Station - Easier Access Project

Full Lot Closure of Green P Parking Lot 81 until December 2, 2022
Effective September 19, 2022 to December 2, 2022
As part of the TTC’s commitment to provide accessible transit, Easier Access construction continues at Lansdowne Station. The work involves the installation of three new elevators. Lansdowne Station is scheduled to become accessible at the end of 2022.

Easier Access improvements:

  • Barrier-free path from the main entrance to all levels of the station
  • Three elevators to access eastbound and westbound platforms
  • Automatic sliding station entry doors
  • Improved signage and CCTV – Security cameras along the accessible pathway
  • Lansdowne Station will receive public art in accordance with the Public Art Policy.

What to expect and work hours:

  • The full closure of the Green P Carpark Lot 81 will take place from September 21, 2022 until December 2, 2022, in order to facilitate the parking lot’s restoration work. The full closure of the lot is required for the safe movement of equipment and the resurfacing and restoration of the parking lot. The full lot is expected to reopen on December 3, 2022. Vehicle Owners are requested to not park overnight beginning September 20, 2022.

  • Construction vehicles/equipment will access the work zone from Lansdowne Avenue during this time.
  • There will be no access to the Green P Carpark 81 from Lansdowne Avenue or from St. Clarens Avenue from September 19 – December 2, 2022. On December 3, the Lansdowne entrance will re-open for vehicle access to the parking lot. The St. Clarens side will return to the original condition and only be open for pedestrian access.

  • Noise, dust and vibration associated with construction can be expected with this work. Efforts will be made to keep levels to a minimum.

Transit, Pedestrian, Cycling and Vehicular Access

  • Through-traffic and TTC bus access will be maintained on Lansdowne Avenue.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained – safe detours and signage will be in place.
  • Access to Lansdowne Station, and stores and residential driveways, near the work zone will be maintained.

Thank you for your support as we work to provide an accessible transit system.
