October 27, 2021
Effective October 27, 2021

What we are doing and why

TTC track crews are carrying out emergency work on Dundas Street West south of Bloor Street West involving excavation to investigate a sink hole that is developing and traversing the streetcar tracks.

Excavation of a portion of the track lanes (outside margin area of tracks) will continue until 11 p.m. tonight in order to expose an area so that a preliminary assessment can be undertaken.

If required, excavation within the track lanes will resume Thursday morning at approximately 7 a.m. to help further explore, assess and correct the situation.

Traffic

Traffic is being maintained through work zone. Lane restrictions will be removed as soon as possible.

Work hours

The track crews will be on site throughout the evening and overnight.

Noise

Noise will be evident when construction equipment is in operation.
