Bloor-Yonge Station - State of Good Repair Work

Construction at Bloor-Yonge Station (20 Bloor Street East)
Effective June 1, 2023 to late June 2024

As part of the TTC’s commitment to safety and maintenance, Bloor-Yonge Station is undergoing vital state of good repair work to maintain the station entrances, and the platforms on Line 1 and Line 2. All work on Line 2 has now been completed.
The work includes:

  • Structural concrete repairs and fireproofing
  • Work began in June 2023 and should be completed by the end of June 2024.
  • The majority of the work will take place behind the construction hoarding that has been installed. Work required outside of the hoarding will be scheduled during non-operating hours in order to minimize the impacts of the work on customers.
  • Station access and subway service will not be impacted by this work.

Noise, Vibration and Work Hours

  • Noise and dust associated with construction can be expected with this work. Efforts will be made to keep levels to a minimum.
  • The majority of the work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Weekend work will take place between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  • Overnight work is required to ensure safety and efficiency.
