TTC track upgrades close portion of Line 1 this weekend

This weekend, Nov. 25-26, TTC crews will continue work to replace special track and switches just south of Eglinton Station, requiring the portion of Line 1 Yonge University between St Clair and Lawrence stations to close.

During the closure, shuttle buses will operate, stopping only at subway stations along the way.

Because Lawrence Station is not yet accessible, Wheel-Trans buses will operate from York Mills and St Clair stations. Customers travelling southbound on Line 1 who require an elevator should exit the train at York Mills Station and speak to any TTC staff member to request Wheel-Trans service.

Regular subway service resumes Mon., Nov. 27 at 6 a.m.

The next scheduled subway closures are:

• Dec. 3 only – Line 1: Lawrence West to Sheppard West stations for signal work.
• Dec. 9-10 – Line 1: St Clair to Lawrence stations for track work.
