Extended Hours of Work for Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station Site

Beginning tonight, May 1, 2012, construction crews will start working extended shifts at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station site until 11:00 p.m. The City of Vaughan has approved a noise by-law amendment which allows major transit project contractors to perform overnight and weekend work for the duration of the project, when required. Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station construction work is permitted from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., 7 days per week.

The work is necessary as part of the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension (TYSSE) project.

Work Hours:

Late night excavation and civil construction work will begin May 1, 2012 and continue through the spring and summer from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., 7 days per week when required.
