Short Term Closure of Highway 7 Between Edgeley Blvd and Jane St., Tuesday, March 13, 2012 (approx. 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.)

Early morning movement of heavy construction equipment will close Highway 7 between Edgeley Blvd and Jane St on March 13, 2012 from 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Paid duty officers will ensure safe traffic flow and redirect traffic on Highway 7 to use alternate detours (see map). Due to the nature of the work, motorists and commuters may face minor traffic delays.

Construction work includes moving heavy equipment from the north side of Highway 7 to the south side. This moving of equipment is estimated to take approximately 20 minutes.

Motorists please obey all flagpersons and signs and slow down through this construction zone.

Hours of Closure

The City of Vaughan has approved a noise by-law amendment which allows the contractor to perform overnight and weekend work when required to minimize long term disruption and to keep the project on schedule.

Alternate Routes

From Highway 7, please use the route Edgeley Blvd to Portage Pkwy to Jane St to Highway 7 ( Detour 1) as an alternate OR Interchange Way to Jane Street to Highway 7 (Detour 2) as another alternate during this closure. See map.

Transit delays may be experienced on YRT/Viva Highway 7/Centre 77 Route and the Brampton 501 Route.
