Plan Your Trip

Constructing a new subway is a very big job, takes quite a long time and will affect travel all along its new route. Travelling to, from and through the subway construction area will be a challenge over the next two years. You can help keep people and traffic moving during subway construction by planning your trip.

Know before you go

Knowing traffic conditions or current transit service availability before you take your trip is the best way to save time and reduce frustration. This is especially true during construction when conditions can change.
Here are a few tools for you to consider when planning your trip.

Tunnel Boring Update!

Celebrating the final breakthrough.

Tunnel boring machines Holey and Moley completed the southern tunnels in early March of 2013, drilling a total of 2.8 kms of twin tunnels and placed 1,826 rings. Yorkie and Torkie completed the northern tunnels and on November 8, 2013 Torkie broke through the headwall at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station, completing the twin tunnelling for the project.
