501 Queen - Streetcar restrictions during several construction projects - November 8 update

Ongoing route changes will occur during multiple road, track and bridge work on Queen Street, The Queensway and Lake Shore Boulevard, and improvements at Humber Loop throughout 2017.

The 501 Queen streetcar route operates between Neville Park Loop and Long Branch Loop, generally in an east-west direction. It serves Queen and Osgoode Stations on Line 1 Yonge-University. Both Queen and Osgoode Stations are accessible subway stations.

The route is part of the 10 Minute Network, and operates 10 minutes or better, all day, every day.

Accessible service

Effective May 7, 2017 until September 2, 2017

Accessible buses temporarily replacing streetcars on the entire route due to construction.

Two services are operated. The 501L (Neville Park-Long Branch) branch, temporarily operated with buses, operates at all times, seven days a week. The 501P (Neville Park-Park Lawn) branch, temporarily operated with buses, operates at all times, seven days a week.


Westbound 501L LONG BRANCH

Buses operate from Neville Park Loop (on the southwest corner of Queen Street East and Nursewood Road) via west on Queen Street East, west on Queen Street West, west on The Queensway, south on Windermere Road, west on Lake Shore Boulevard West to Long Branch Loop (on the north side of Lake Shore Boulevard West, west of Browns Line).

Eastbound 501L NEVILLE PARK

Buses operate from Long Branch Loop via east and northeast on Lake Shore Boulevard West, north on Windermere Road, east on The Queensway, east on Queen Street West, and east on Queen Street East to Neville Park Loop.

Westbound 501P PARK LAWN

Buses operate from Neville Park Loop (on the southwest corner of Queen Street East and Nursewood Road) via west on Queen Street East, west on Queen Street West, west on The Queensway, south on Park Lawn Road, south on Marine Parade Drive to Park Lawn Loop (on the west side of Marine Parade Drive, south of Lake Shore Boulevard West).

Eastbound 501L NEVILLE PARK

Buses operate from Park Lawn Loop via north on Marine Parade Drive, north on Park Lawn Road, east on The Queensway, east on Queen Street West, and east on Queen Street East to Neville Park Loop.

All buses on the route serve local stops along the route.
