TTC Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit (ACAT) seeks new members

The TTC Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit (ACAT) is holding mandatory information sessions for people interested in joining the committee. The sessions will be held on Fri., July 26 and Wed., July 31. Participants are only required to attend one of the sessions.
Committee membership is open to residents of the city of Toronto who have disabilities, are seniors, or represent the needs and concerns of seniors and persons with disabilities.
Application forms, which are only available at the information sessions, must be submitted to the TTC by 4 p.m. on Fri., Aug. 9, 2019.

Time: 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Location: Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W., Committee Room 2
Date: Wed., July 31, 2019
Time: 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Location: Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W., Committee Room 1
ACAT provides a mechanism for ongoing public participation in decisions affecting accessible transportation in the city of Toronto. The committee is made up of 15 volunteer members on three-year terms and reports to the Board of the Toronto Transit Commission.
The committee meets weekly during regular business hours and provides advice and guidance on improvements to conventional, Wheel-Trans and community bus service.
