Portion of TTC’s Line 1 to open at noon this Sunday only
January 15, 2019
The portion of Line 1 between Bloor and Osgoode stations will be closed until noon this Sun., Jan. 20 only, for track work and maintenance.
Shuttle buses will run, stopping outside each station along the route. All stations will remain open for fare sales and transfers to surface routes.
Over the last week, customers have been experiencing longer than normal travel times on the southbound portion of Line 1 between Eglinton West and King stations due to ongoing track upgrades between Union and King stations. The majority of track work required to lift the restricted speed zone will be performed during the closure on Sunday morning. Service is expected to return to normal later next week.
Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency.
The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts at ttc.ca.
