February Board Period Service Changes

Starting on Sunday, February 17, the TTC will be making the following service adjustments:

Service reliability improvements – the program for continuous monitoring and improvement to schedules to better match observed operating conditions will result in new schedules for the following routes:
1 Yonge-University
17 Birchmount
30 Lambton
32 Eglinton West
36 Finch West
53 Steeles East
60 Steeles West
95 York Mills
116 Morningside
512 St Clair
913 Progress Express
960 Steeles West Express
995 York Mills Express

Service improvements
> Additional trips on the 123F Sherway and 7 Bathurst at the start of the morning and afternoon peak periods.
> Crowding will be reduced on five bus routes in nine periods of service.

Construction-related changes
> Changes to schedules on 7 Bathurst and 33 Forest Hill to maintain service reliability and to accommodate potential disruptions by Metrolinx/Crosslinx LRT construction work.

SERVICE CHANGES

Line 1 Yonge-University
>Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
One additional train will be added to the schedule during the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability.

7 Bathurst
> Vehicle type change
> Service reliability – potential Metrolinx/Crosslinx disruption
> Service increase – early morning and early afternoon
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Service will change to 12-metre bus operation for all periods from Monday to Friday in order to facilitate maintenance work on the articulated bus fleet. All day service will increase to every seven-to-eight minutes. Schedules will be adjusted for all periods, from Monday to Friday, to maintain service reliability and to accommodate potential disruptions by Metrolinx/Crosslinx LRT construction work. Additional trips will be added at the beginning of the morning and afternoon peak periods.

12 Kingston Rd
> Schedule change - School trips
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
The schedules of four school trips in the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday will be changed. The 2:45 p.m. trip departing from Neil McNeil High School will be changed to leave earlier at 2:35 p.m., 2:49 p.m. trip will change to 2:39 p.m., the 2:53 p.m. trip will change to 2:43 p.m. and the 3 p.m. trip will change to 2:50 p.m.

17 Birchmount
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Schedules will be revised in the peak periods and midday from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions. In the morning peak period, scheduled service levels will remain unchanged. In the midday, scheduled service levels will be reduced to every 13-to-14 minutes. In the afternoon peak period, scheduled service levels will be reduced to every nine minutes.

30 Lambton
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Schedules will be revised in all periods from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions. In the morning peak period, scheduled service levels will be reduced to every 21 minutes. In the afternoon peak period, scheduled service levels will be reduced to every 22 minutes. Service in the off-peak periods will remain unchanged.

32 Eglinton West
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Schedules will be revised in all periods from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions. In the morning peak period, service on the 32A (Eglinton Stn-Renforth Stn) and 32C (Eglinton Stn-Jane and Lawrence) branches will be reduced to every seven minutes. Service on the 32D (Eglinton West Stn-Jane and Emmett) branch will be reduced to every 11-to-12 minutes. In the midday, service on the 32A and 32C branches will be reduced to every 11 minutes. Service on the 32D branch will remain unchanged. In the afternoon peak period, service on the 32A and 32C branches will be reduced to every nine-to-10 minutes. Service on the 32D branch will be reduced to every eight-to-nine minutes. In the early evening, service on the 32A and 32C branches will be reduced to every 10 minutes. Service on the 32D branch will remain unchanged. Combined service levels will be reduced to every four-to-five minutes. In the late evening, service on the 32A and 32C branches will change to every 11 minutes. Service on the 32D branch will remain unchanged.

33 Forest Hill
> Service reliability – potential Metrolinx/Crosslinx disruption
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 17, 2019
Schedules will be revised at all times in order to maintain service reliability and to accommodate potential disruptions by Metrolinx/Crosslinx LRT construction work. Service will change to every 20 minutes.

35 Jane
> Service reallocation
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 23, 2019
Service will be adjusted in the evening on Saturday. In the early evening, service will be reduced to every seven minutes. In the late evening, service will be improved to every eight-to-nine minutes to reduce crowding.

36 Finch West
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Schedules will be revised in all periods from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions. In the morning peak period, service on the 36A (Finch West Stn-Humberwood) branch will remain largely unchanged. Service on the 36D (Finch West Stn-Milvan) and 36F (Finch Stn-Milvan via Fenmar) branches will be reduced to every 17 minutes. Combined service will remain largely unchanged. Service on the 36B (Finch Stn-Finch West Stn) branch will be reduced to every five minutes. In the midday, service on the 36A branch will be increased to every five minutes. Service on the 36B branch will be reduced to every five-to-six minutes. In the afternoon peak period, service on the 36A branch will be increased to every six minutes. Service on the 36D and 36F branches will be increased to every 25 minutes. Combined service will remain largely unchanged. Service on the 36B branch will be reduced to every six-to-seven minutes. In the early evening, service on the 36A branch will remain unchanged. Service on the 36B branch will be increased to every eight minutes. In the late evening, service will be reduced to every 10 minutes.

42 Cummer
> Service reallocation
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Service will be adjusted in evening from Monday to Friday. In the early evening, service will be reduced to every 12 minutes. In the late evening, service will be improved to every 16 minutes to reduce crowding.

53 Steeles East
> Service reallocation

Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Service will be adjusted in the midday and early evening Monday to Friday to reallocate resources to other routes. In the midday, service levels will be reduced to every five-to-six minutes. In the early evening, service levels will be reduced to every five minutes. Schedules will also be revised in all periods from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions.

56 Leaside
> New school trip
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: February 18, 2019
A new afternoon school trip will be inserted on 56 Leaside from Eglinton Station at 2:58 p.m. to meet the dismissal time at Leaside High School. The trip will arrive at Eglinton Avenue and Hanna Road at 3:11 p.m. and will supplement the existing school trip.

60 Steeles West

Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Service will be increased in the morning peak period and midday from Monday to Friday to reduce overcrowding. Schedules will also be revised in the peak periods and midday from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions. In the morning peak period, service west of Pioneer Village Station will improve to every seven minutes. Combined service between Pioneer Village Station and Finch Station will also be slightly improved. In the midday, service west of Pioneer Village Station will improve to every nine-to-10 minutes. Combined service between Pioneer Village Station and Finch Station will change slightly. In the afternoon peak period, service west of Pioneer Village Station will be reduced to every eight-to-nine minutes, and combined service between Pioneer Village Station and Finch Station will be reduced to every four-to-five minutes.

85 Sheppard East
> Service reliability improvement
> Trip adjustments
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Schedules will be revised in all periods from Monday to Saturday to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions. Service levels will remain largely unchanged. Select 85A (Don Mills-Rouge Hill GO Stn) trips will be adjusted to provide better connection times to customers travelling to and from Lakeshore East GO at Rouge Hill GO Station.

88 South Leaside
> Schedule adjustment – extension of last trips
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: February 17, 2019
During all days of the week, the final late-evening eastbound trips on the 88A and 88B branches will be extended to complete a westbound trip back to St Clair Station, rather than going out of service at Thorncliffe Park Drive and Overlea Boulevard. This change will provide full last trips in both directions in the loop through the Thorncliffe Park and Leaside areas.

95 York Mills

Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Service will be increased during the midday from Monday to Friday to reduce overcrowding. Schedules will also be revised in all periods from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions. In the morning and afternoon peak periods, service will change slightly. In the midday, service will increase to every seven minutes. Evening service will remain largely unchanged.

116 Morningside 
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 17, 2019
Schedules will be revised in all periods Saturdays and Sundays to improve service reliability, reduce crowding and better reflect observed operating conditions. In the early morning on Saturdays, service will remain unchanged. In the morning, service will be reduced to every nine minutes. In the afternoon, service will be reduced to every seven minutes. In the early evening, service will be improved to every nine minutes. In the late evening, service will be improved to every nine minutes. In the morning on Sundays, service will be reduced to every eight minutes. In the afternoon, service will be improved to every six-to-seven minutes. In the early evening, service will be improved to every eight minutes. In the late evening, service will remain unchanged.

123 Sherway
> Schedule adjustment – additional trips
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Additional trips will be added to schedules on the 123F (Kipling Stn-Sherway via West Mall) branch to better serve customers heading to and from destinations along The West Mall. One trip will be added at the start of the morning peak period, departing southbound from Kipling Station at 5:41 a.m. The existing southbound trip at 6:19 a.m. will remain unchanged. Six trips will be added at the start of the afternoon peak period. These trips will depart southbound from Kipling Station at 2:23 p.m., 2:39 p.m. and 2.55 p.m., and northbound from Sherway Gardens at 2:10 p.m., 2:26 p.m. and 2:42 p.m.

512 St Clair
> Service reliability improvement

Effective date: February 18, 2019
Schedules will be revised in all periods from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions. Service levels will change slightly.

902 Markham Rd Express
> New express stop
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: February 18, 2019
A new express stop will be added to the route, southbound on Progress Avenue at Sheppard Avenue East (#12055).

913 Progress Express
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Schedules will be revised during the peak periods from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions. Service levels will remain largely unchanged.

960 Steeles West Express
> Service reliability improvement
> Service reallocation
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Schedules will be revised in all periods from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions, and to reallocate resources to the 60 Steeles West local service. In the morning peak period, service will be reduced to every 10 minutes. In the afternoon peak period, service will be reduced to every 15 minutes.

995 York Mills Express
>Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: February 18, 2019
Schedules will be revised in peak periods from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions. In the morning peak period, service will be reduced to every 10-to-11 minutes. In the afternoon peak period, service will be reduced to every 10-to-11 minutes.
