August Board Period Service Changes

Starting on Sunday, August 4, the TTC will be making the following service adjustments:

SERVICE CHANGES

2 Bloor-Danforth 
> Service level changes
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: August 10, 2019
Saturday schedules will be revised to better match scheduled capacity to average observed customer demand, and to improve service reliability and better reflect actual operating conditions. Service levels will change throughout the day, and will continue to operate every six minutes or better.

5 Avenue Rd
> Service increase
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 6, 2019
Service will be improved in the morning peak period to reduce crowding for customers during the morning peak, and additional southbound trips will be scheduled to depart Eglinton Station between approximately 7:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m.

11 Bayview
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 6, 2019
Weekday schedules on this route will be adjusted to improve service reliability for customers. Service levels will change slightly throughout the day.

15 Evans
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 4, 2019
Schedules will be revised on this route for all periods of operation, for all days of the week, to improve service reliability.

24 Victoria Park/924 Victoria Park Express
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 4, 2019
Weekday schedules on the 24 Victoria Park and 924 Victoria Park Express will be adjusted to improve service reliability for customers. Service levels will change slightly throughout the day.

32 Eglinton West
> Service reduction
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 6, 2019
Select trips in the westbound service from Eglinton Station at the end of morning peak period, from Monday to Friday, will be removed so that resources can be reallocated to reduce overcrowding on other services.

33 Forest Hill
> Service reliability – Metrolinx Line 5 Construction
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: August 4, 2019
Schedules will be changed on the 33 Forest Hill to reflect new conditions near Eglinton Avenue West for the Metrolinx Line 5 construction. Service throughout the day will change to every 30 minutes. Service will continue to divert via Mayfair Avenue and Shallmar Boulevard.

39 Finch East

Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 6, 2019
Weekday schedules will be revised to improve service reliability for customers. New service will operate in the late evening periods, in all days of the week, on the 39B (Finch Stn-Old Finch and Morningview). Service levels in the evening will be revised along the Finch Avenue East corridor to accommodate this change:
- On Monday-Friday, service from approximately 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. will be scheduled every nine minutes, and service after 11 p.m. will be every 10 minutes.
- On Saturdays, service from 7 p.m. to midnight will be scheduled every seven-to-eight minutes, and every 10 minutes afterwards.
- On Sundays, service in the late evening period will be scheduled every 10 minutes.

48 Rathburn

61 Avenue Rd North

Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 6, 2019
Weekday schedules will be revised to improve service reliability for customers. Service levels will change slightly throughout the day.

62 Mortimer
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 6, 2019
Weekday schedules will be revised to improve service reliability for customers. Service levels will change to every 16 minutes in the peak periods. Service in all other periods will remain unchanged.

63 Ossington

Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 6, 2019
Weekday schedules will be revised to improve service reliability for customers. Service levels will change slightly throughout the day.

64 Main
> Service reliability improvement

Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 6, 2019
Weekday schedules will be revised to improve service reliability for customers. Service levels will change slightly throughout the day. The transition from afternoon peak period to evening service will be changed to better accommodate customer demand. Service will change to every 12 minutes between approximately 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m., and service will continue to operate every 20 minutes after 8 p.m.

68 Warden

Effective date: August 6, 2019
The last trips in the schedule will be adjusted from Monday to Friday to improve customer connections to the Blue Night Network after regular subway service ends. The trip currently scheduled to terminate at approximately 2:08 a.m. at Warden Station will remain in service for customers and operate to Danforth Road and Danforth Avenue as it transitions to the 300 Bloor-Danforth overnight route.

73 Royal York

Customer impact: Major
Effective date: August 4, 2019
Late evening service on Saturday, Sunday and holidays on the 73B (Royal York Stn-Eglinton & La Rose) branch will be eliminated due to low ridership that does not meet TTC service standards. Only the 73C (Royal York Stn-Claireport) will operate in the late evening on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Schedules will also be revised on this route for all periods of operation, for all days of the week, to improve service reliability for customers.

76 Royal York South
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 4, 2019
The schedules will be revised from Monday to Friday to better reflect actual operations and to improve service reliability.

83 Jones
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 4, 2019
Weekend schedules will be revised to improve service reliability for customers. Service levels will change slightly throughout the day.

88 South Leaside
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 6, 2019
Weekday schedules will be revised to improve service reliability for customers. Service levels will change slightly throughout the day.

120 Calvington
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 6, 2019
Weekday schedules will be revised to improve service reliability for customers. Service levels will change slightly throughout the day.

176 Mimico GO
> Routing and schedule change
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: August 6, 2019
Service will be extended into the Humber Bay Shores area via Marine Parade Drive to provide a connection to Lakeshore West GO trains for more residents. In the morning peak period, trip arrival times at Mimico GO will continue to maintain GO train connections. Times at other stops along the route will change slightly. In the afternoon peak period, trips will be shifted approximately five minutes later to improve connections with Lakeshore West GO train trips.

984 Sheppard West Express
> New express stop
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: August 4, 2019
A new express stop will be designated for the 984 Sheppard West Express eastbound at Sheppard Ave West and Wilson Heights Boulevard (stop ID 7299) to complete the stop pair at this intersection. Schedules will remain unchanged.

505 Dundas
> City construction – Watermain Replacement
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: August 4, 2019
Schedules will be adjusted, seven days a week, based on observed conditions to address service reliability issues as a result of delays caused by City watermain construction on Dundas Street, between Spadina Avenue and Bay Street. Service levels will change slightly at all times of the week.

506 Carlton
> Service reliability improvement
> Service change – 10-Minute Network
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: August 4, 2019
Schedules will be adjusted, seven days a week, to improve service reliability. Service levels will change at all times. Bus trips that are scheduled to supplement the streetcar service in the morning peak period will now enter service in the west end from Parkside Drive and Howard Park Avenue. As a result of the additional time being added to the schedules in the late evening on Sundays and holidays, the 506 Carlton route will be temporarily removed from the 10-Minute Network. Service levels will be adjusted in the fall in conjunction with planned low-floor streetcar deployment to reallocate service to restore 10-Minute Network service.

512 St Clair
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: August 4, 2019
Schedules will be adjusted on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays to improve service reliability. There will be longer wait times during some periods. 10-Minute Network service will be maintained during all regular service periods.
