Happy Holidays Season Service
New Year’s Eve free rides start at 7 p.m.!

Here’s an encapsulated look at the TTC’s 2018-2019 holiday service over the Christmas and New Year board period from Friday, December 21 to Monday, January 8, 2018, including special sign-ups for Operators.

Friday, December 21, 2018
> Regular Monday-Friday service; last weekday of the November 18-December 22, 2018 board period.

Saturday, December 22
> Regular Saturday service; last day of the November 18-December 22, 2018 board period.
> Additional scheduled standby and service relief buses and streetcars.

Sunday, December 23
> Regular Sunday service; first day of the December 23, 2018-January 5, 2019 board period.
> Additional scheduled standby and service relief buses and streetcars will be operated at the divisional level.

Monday, December 24 – Christmas Eve
> Regular Monday-Friday peak period service on Line 1, Line 3 and Line 4.
> Regular summer Monday-Friday peak period service on Line 2, bus and streetcar service.
> The extra standby and service relief buses and streetcars will not be scheduled.
> School trips eliminated.

Tuesday, December 25 – Christmas Day
> Holiday sign-up for Operators.
> Regular Sunday service with holiday crewing conditions.
> Most routes start at 8 a.m.
> The extra standby and service relief buses and streetcars will not be scheduled.

Wednesday, December 26 – Boxing Day
> Holiday sign-up for Operators.
> Regular holiday service, similar to Thanksgiving Day, with holiday crewing conditions.
> Most routes start at 6 a.m.
> Additional scheduled standby and service relief buses and streetcars.

Thursday, December 27 to Friday, December 28
> Regular Monday-Friday peak period service on Line 1, Line 3 and Line 4.
> Regular summer Monday-Friday peak period service on Line 2, bus and streetcar service.
> School trips eliminated.

Saturday, December 29
> Regular Saturday service.
> The extra standby and service relief buses and streetcars will not be scheduled.

Sunday, December 30
> Regular Sunday service.
> The extra standby and service relief buses and streetcars will not be scheduled.

Monday, December 31 – New Year’s Eve
> Free service on all TTC routes in Toronto starting at 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve until 7 a.m. on New Year’s Day, courtesy of Corby Spirit and Wine.
> Special sign-up for Operators.
> Regular Monday-Friday service level on all rapid transit routes through the daytime and early evening, late evening service extended by approximately two hours; plus evening standby trains (12 on Line 1; 10 on Line 2).
> Monday-Friday service on bus and streetcar routes, with late-evening service extended until later than usual.
> Most routes with Monday-Friday late-evening service continue until 4 a.m. (see list below for contracted service exceptions).
> Last trains on Line 1 leave Union Stn at 3:30 a.m. for Finch Stn and 3:34 a.m. for Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Stn. The last northbound train on Line 1 Yonge will connect at Bloor-Yonge Stn with the last eastbound and westbound trains on Line 2, and at Sheppard-Yonge Stn with the last eastbound train on Line 4. 10 standby trains to be operated.
> Last trains on Line 2 leave Bloor-Yonge Stn at 3:37 a.m. for Kipling Stn and at 3:37 a.m. for Kennedy Stn. The last eastbound train on Line 2 will connect at Kennedy Stn with the last eastbound train on Line 3. Eight standby trains to be operated.
> Last train on Line 3 leaves Kennedy Stn at 4:05 a.m. for McCowan Stn.
> Last train on Line 4 leaves Sheppard-Yonge Stn at 3:58 a.m. for Don Mills Stn.
> The extra standby and service relief buses and streetcars will not be scheduled.

Tuesday, January 1, 2019 – New Year’s Day
> Free service on all TTC routes in Toronto until 7 a.m. on New Year’s Day, courtesy of Corby Spirit and Wine.

> Holiday sign-up for Operators.
> Regular Sunday service with holiday crewing conditions.
> Most routes start at 8 a.m.
> The extra standby and service relief buses and streetcars will not be scheduled.

Wednesday, January 2 to Friday, January 4
> Regular non-summer Monday-Friday peak period service on Line 1, Line 3 and Line 4.
> Regular summer Monday-Friday peak period service on Line 2, bus and streetcar service.
> School trips eliminated.

Saturday, January 5
> Regular Saturday service.
> The extra standby and service relief buses and streetcars will not be scheduled.
> Last day of the December 23, 2018-January 5, 2019 board period.

Sunday, January 6
> Regular Sunday service.
> First day of the January 6-February 17, 2018 board period.
> Scheduled standby and service relief buses and streetcars removed.

Monday, January 7
> Regular non-summer Monday-Friday service.
> First weekday of the January 6-February 17, 2018 board period.
> School trips resume.

Details of New Year’s Eve Service, Monday, December 31, 2018 to Tuesday, January 1, 2019

TTC routes
> 501 Queen – Divert both ways via King and Spadina after 11 p.m.
> 509 Harbourfront – Increased service in the late evening. Cars operate every 10 minutes until 2 a.m. and every 15 minutes after 2 a.m.
> 510/310 Spadina – Increased service in the late evening. Cars operate every seven-to-eight minutes until 1:30 a.m., every 8 minutes from 1:30 to 3 a.m., and every 12 minutes after 3 a.m.
> Downtown Gap Buses – Eight downtown gap buses, 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., from Wilson Division.
> Kennedy Station – Three buses, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., from Eglinton Division.
> Additional standby buses from other divisions, depending on workforce availability.

Contracted routes
Mississauga Transit
> 52 Lawrence West – Service to McNaughton will be extended until approximately 4 a.m.
York Region Transit
> 160 Bathurst North – Service to Centre Street will end at the usual time.
> 17 Birchmount – Service to Highway 7 will end at the usual time.
> 102 Markham Rd – Service to Major Mackenzie will end at the usual time.
> 129 McCowan North – Service to Major Mackenzie will be extended until approximately 4 a.m.
> 68 Warden – Service to Major Mackenzie will be extended until approximately 4 a.m.
