November Board Period Service Changes

Starting on Sunday, October 7, the TTC will be making the following service adjustments:

Service reliability improvements – the program for continuous monitoring and improvement to schedules to better match observed operating conditions will result in new schedules for the following routes:
1 Yonge-University
7 Bathurst
81 Thorncliffe Park
505 Dundas
511 Bathurst

Service improvements
> The Express Network will continue to be renumbered and rebranded to improve its visibility and prominence to customers

Construction-related changes
> Line 5 Eglinton Metrolinx construction at Kennedy Station ending – Bus services will return to permanent platforms on the north side of the terminal.
> Bathurst Station bus loop construction ends – 7 Bathurst will return to Bathurst Station bus terminal.
> City construction on Dundas between Bathurst Street and Huron Street continues –lane restrictions on Dundas, no route diversion required.

SERVICE CHANGES

Kennedy Station – Line 5 Eglinton construction ends
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: November 18, 2018
Line 5 Eglinton construction on the north side of Kennedy Station bus terminal will be ending. The following routes are currently utilizing temporary platforms and will be returned to their original platforms:
12 Kingston Rd
57 Midland
34 Eglinton East
43 Kennedy
21 Brimley
131e Nugget
334 Eglinton East (Westbound)
343 Kennedy

1 Yonge-University
> Schedule change
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: November 19, 2018
One additional train will be added to the schedule during the morning and afternoon peak periods from Monday to Friday to improve service reliability.

6 Bay
> Service reliability improvement – divisional request
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: November 18, 2018
Schedules will be adjusted Monday to Friday morning peak period to improve service reliability. Additional trips will operate southbound from Davenport Road and Dupont Street in the morning peak period as a result.

7 Bathurst
> TTC construction ends
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: November 18, 2018
With the end of TTC construction at Bathurst Station, buses on this route will return to regular service through the bus loop. Schedules will be revised Monday to Friday to improve service reliability. Headways will be improved slightly in the morning and afternoon peak periods.

41 Keele/941 Keele Express
> Route name change
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: November 19, 2018
In the peak periods, the 941 Keele Express will replace the express service currently provided by 41E (Keele Stn-Finch West Stn Express). The 41A branch will be renumbered 41. Scheduled service levels on the express service will remain unchanged and will operate in the same time periods, and the same routing and express stops will be served.

54 Lawrence East

Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: November 24, 2018
Schedules will be adjusted on this route on Saturday in the morning period. Service from approximately 8 a.m. to 12 noon will change to operate every eight-to-nine minutes.

81 Thorncliffe Park
> Routing adjustment
> Service reliability improvement
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: November 18, 2018
Schedules on this route will be adjusted from Monday to Sunday in order to improve service reliability. Service will be adjusted on this route so that the routing along Thorncliffe Park Drive operates counter-clockwise during all periods. Scheduled service levels will remain largely the same for most periods of operation. In the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday, service will change to every eight minutes.

93 Parkview Hills

Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: November 19, 2018
Schedules will be adjusted on this route in the morning peak period from Monday to Friday, in order to reduce conflicts at Woodbine Station with buses on 91 Woodbine. There will be no change to service levels.

95 York Mills/995 York Mills Express
> Route name change
> Additional express stop
Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: November 19, 2018
In the peak periods, the 995 York Mills Express will replace the express service currently provided by 95E (York Mills Stn-U of T Scarborough Express). Scheduled service levels on the express service will remain unchanged and will operate in the same time periods, and the same routing will be served. Express stops at Brookbanks Drive on Parkwoods Village Drive (eastbound #8025, westbound #8024) will be added to the 995 York Mills Express to standardize the stop spacing in the York Mills corridor.

131 Nugget/903 Kennedy-Scarborough Centre Express

Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: November 18, 2018
The 131A Nugget (Scarborough Centre Stn-Old Finch) branch will be renumbered 131. In the peak periods, 131E Nugget (Kennedy Stn-Old Finch Express) will be eliminated. Local service east of Scarborough Centre will be operated by 131 (Scarborough Centre Stn-Old Finch) trips. A new route, 903 Kennedy-Scarborough Centre Express, will replace the limited-stop peak period service from Kennedy Station to Scarborough Centre Station. Scheduled service levels on the express service will remain unchanged and will operate in the same time periods, and the same routing and stops will be served.

188 Kipling South Rocket/944 Kipling South Express

Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: November 19, 2018
The 944 Kipling South Express will replace the express service currently provided by the 188 Kipling South Rocket. Scheduled service levels on the express service will remain unchanged and will operate in the same time periods, and the same routing and stops will be served.

192 Airport Rocket/900 Airport Express

Customer impact: Minor
Effective date: November 18, 2018
The 900 Airport Express will replace the express service currently provided by the 192 Airport Rocket. Scheduled service levels on the express service will remain unchanged and will operate in the same time periods, and the same routing and stops will be served.

505 Dundas
> Service reliability improvement
> Service increase
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: November 18, 2018
Schedules will be revised all periods of the week to improve service reliability. Service will also be increased to reduce crowding in various periods through the week.

511 Bathurst
> Service reliability improvement
> TTC construction ends
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: November 18, 2018
Construction in the bus roadway at Bathurst Station will be complete and this route will return to its regular platform location. Service patterns in the daytime, from Monday to Friday, will operate with two branches. One branch will operate to Exhibition and the other will operate to Front Street.
