The third employee is a Coach Technician who works at Wilson Garage. The individual developed symptoms on May 10. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 on May 13, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 9, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The fourth employee is a Track Maintainer who works in the Subway Infrastructure Department. The individual developed symptoms on May 14. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, May 15, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 14, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The third employee is a Coach Technician who works at Queensway Garage. The individual is asymptomatic. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, May 10, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 7, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The seventh employee is a Bus Operator who works at Mount Dennis Division. The individual developed symptoms on April 25. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 on April 29, 2021. The individual last reported to work on April 2, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

May 9: The first employee works in the IT Services Department. The individual developed symptoms on May 5, 2021. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 on May 7, 2021. The individual last reported to work in October 2020, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The second employee who works in the Plaint Maintenance Department The individual developed symptoms on May 6. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, May 8, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 5, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

Following TPH guidance on case and contact management, the TTC is assessing whether there were any close contacts with the individual while contagious, requiring self-isolation.

The TTC takes safety very seriously and considers the health and well-being of TTC employees of utmost importance. The TTC will continue to report information about positive diagnoses and publish the information on the TTC COVID-19 case update page on the TTC website at: http://www.ttc.ca/Riding_the_TTC/Safety_and_Security/Case_update.jsp. To date, 60 employees have returned to work since testing positive.

Please note, priority access is now available for TTC employees who are essential frontline workers or are required to support frontline work and are also exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. If you develop new or worsening symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (see link above) or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, stay home and contact Occupational Health at 416-393-4572 or OHEW@ttc.ca to be connected with a Disability Management Specialist (DMS). If you are eligible for testing, your DMS will provide you with a letter from Toronto Public Health recommending priority testing.

Important reminder: Safety notices advise employees with concerns about their personal health to contact their family doctor or Telehealth at 1-866-797-0000. Toronto Public Health has also set up a coronavirus hotline that provides the public with a place to get information, ask questions about this virus and connect with a health professional at 416-338-7600.
