The second individual is a Rail Vehicle Analyzer who works in the Rail Cars and Shops Department. The individual is asymptomatic. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, May 29, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 24, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

May 28: The first employee is an Electrician in the Subway Infrastructure Department. The individual developed symptoms on May 27. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, May 28, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 27, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The second employee works in the Property, Planning & Development Department. The individual developed symptoms on May 23. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 on May 26, 2021. The individual last reported to work on December 16, 2020, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The third employee is a Radio Technician who works in the Plant Maintenance Department. The individual developed symptoms on May 1. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 on May 9, 2021. The individual last reported to work on April 29, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The fourth employee is a Bus Operator who works at Malvern Division. The individual developed symptoms on May 16. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, May 28, 2021. The individual last reported to work on March 17, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

May 27: The first employee works in Building Services in the Plant Maintenance Department. The individual developed symptoms on May 15. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 on May 19, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 12, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The second employee is a Bus Operator who works at McNicoll Division. The individual developed symptoms on May 19. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 on May 22, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 19, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The third employee is a General Body Repairperson who works at Harvey Shop. The individual developed symptoms on May 21. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 on May 25, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 21, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The fourth employee is a Wheel-Trans Operator who works at Lakeshore Division. The individual developed symptoms on May 21. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, May 27, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 20, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The third employee is a Bus Operator who works at Mount Dennis Division. The individual developed symptoms on May 16. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, May 19, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 15, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

May 17: The first employee is a Janitor who works in the Plant Department. The individual developed symptoms on May 14. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, May 16, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 14, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The second employee works in the Subway Infrastructure Department. The individual developed symptoms on May 15. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, May 17, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 14, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The third employee is an Assistant Foreperson who works in the Subway Infrastructure Department. The individual developed symptoms on May 16. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, May 17, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 14, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The fourth employee works in the Construction Department. The date when the individual developed symptoms is unknown. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 on May 15, 2021. The individual last reported to work on April 1, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The fifth employee is a Bus Operator who works at Queensway Division. The individual developed symptoms on May 14. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, May 17, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 13, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home. 

The sixth employee is a Subway Operator who works at Wilson Division. The individual developed symptoms on May 15. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, May 17, 2021. The individual last reported to work on December 30, 2020, and is currently self-isolating at home.

May 16: The first employee is a Coach Technician who works at Birchmount Garage. The individual developed symptoms on May 12. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, May 15, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 11, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The second employee is a Track Worker who works in the Subway Infrastructure Department. The individual developed symptoms on May 13. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, May 15, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 11, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The third employee is a Bus Operator who works at Birchmount Division. The individual developed symptoms on May 12. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, May 15, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 7, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The fourth employee works in Line Services in the Rail Cars and Shops Department. The individual developed symptoms on May 13. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, May 15, 2021. The individual last reported to work on May 13, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

Following TPH guidance on case and contact management, the TTC is assessing whether there were any close contacts with the individual while contagious, requiring self-isolation.

The TTC takes safety very seriously and considers the health and well-being of TTC employees of utmost importance. The TTC will continue to report information about positive diagnoses and publish the information on the TTC COVID-19 case update page on the TTC website at: http://www.ttc.ca/Riding_the_TTC/Safety_and_Security/Case_update.jsp. To date, 60 employees have returned to work since testing positive.

Please note, priority access is now available for TTC employees who are essential frontline workers or are required to support frontline work and are also exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. If you develop new or worsening symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (see link above) or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, stay home and contact Occupational Health at 416-393-4572 or OHEW@ttc.ca to be connected with a Disability Management Specialist (DMS). If you are eligible for testing, your DMS will provide you with a letter from Toronto Public Health recommending priority testing.

Important reminder: Safety notices advise employees with concerns about their personal health to contact their family doctor or Telehealth at 1-866-797-0000. Toronto Public Health has also set up a coronavirus hotline that provides the public with a place to get information, ask questions about this virus and connect with a health professional at 416-338-7600.
