Starting on Sunday, May 9, the TTC will be making the following service adjustments:

Major Service Changes

Service adjustments will be made on many routes in response to changed ridership since the pandemic. Routes with lower ridership will have service levels reduced, and some routes with increasing ridership will have service levels improved.

Service reliability improvements
The program for continuous monitoring and improvement to schedules to better match observed operating conditions will result in new schedules for the following routes. All are weekday service changes, unless otherwise noted:

2021 Annual Service Plan
Routing changes – as approved in the 2021 Annual Service Plan, routing and service changes will be made on routes 107 St Regis, 117 Alness-Chesswood and 905 Eglinton East Express, including the creation of a new route: 107 York University Heights.

Construction projects beginning
> York Mills Station bus terminal closure – all routes impacted by private construction of the York Mills Station driveway, routes will be diverted to temporary terminal in the northwest corner of Yonge and Wilson.
> City watermain construction on Broadview Avenue from Danforth Avenue to Gerrard Street East – 504 King streetcars shortened to Distillery Loop, 505 Dundas streetcars shortened to Broadview Avenue. 504 King replacement buses from Broadview Station to Parliament Street.
> Additional TTC/City overhead and track work on Queen Street – 501 Queen streetcars divert via Parliament Street and King Street to Charlotte Loop, 501L/P Queen replacement buses extended east to Broadview Avenue.

Construction projects continuing
> TTC and City construction at King-Queen-Queensway Roncesvalles, until December 2021.
> TTC overhead upgrades along the 501 Queen corridor, until December 2021.
> City road construction on Wellington Street, until September 2021.
> City watermain and bridge construction on Cummer Avenue between Bayview and Leslie – 42 Cummer diverted in the westbound direction.

Construction projects ending
> TTC overhead upgrades on 506 Carlton corridor.

Service changes requiring stop or stop announcement modifications
> Construction changes for 501P and 501L Queen extending to Broadview and Gerrard.
> Construction changes for the 504D King operating to Front and Parliament with buses terminating on Berkeley.
> Construction changes for the 505 Dundas terminating at Broadview Avenue.

Service Changes – Subway

Line 1 Yonge-University

Effective date: May 9, 2021
Service will be reduced in all periods on Saturday and Sunday to better reflect customer demand.

Service Changes – Bus

York Mills Station bus terminal temporary closure
> Route change
Customer impact: Major
Effective date: May 9, 2021
Construction by York Mills Centre, which is the commercial complex above York Mills Station, will require the temporary closure of the bus terminal. Construction is expected to last three months. During the construction, buses will divert to a temporary bus terminal set up in the parking lot located at the northwest corner of Yonge Street and Wilson Avenue. There will be no change to bus schedules.
The 95 York Mills, 96 Wilson, 115 Silver Hills, 122 Graydon Hall, 165 Weston Rd North, 995 York Mills Express and 996 Wilson Express will use the temporary terminal. The remaining routes, 78 St Andrews and 97 Yonge, will serve York Mills Station on street.

6 Bay

In response to lower ridership on this route from the pandemic, service levels will be reduced in the peak periods to better match scheduled capacity to average observed demand. Service will be scheduled to operate every 12 minutes in the morning peak and every 11 minutes in the afternoon peak period. Service levels will generally remain unchanged during the off peak.

7 Bathurst

In response to lower ridership on this route from the pandemic, service levels will be reduced in the peak periods to better match scheduled capacity to average observed demand. Service will be scheduled to operate every 10 minutes all day.

11 Bayview

Effective date: May 10, 2021
In response to lower ridership on this route from the pandemic, service levels will be reduced in the peak periods to better match scheduled capacity to average observed demand. Combined service will be scheduled to operate every 10-to-11 minutes in the morning peak and every nine minutes in the afternoon peak. Service in the off-peak periods remains unchanged.

14 Glencairn

Effective date: May 9, 2021
Schedules will be revised in all periods to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions. Service will operate every 22 minutes in the morning peak and every 21 minutes in the afternoon peak. Service in the off-peak periods remains unchanged.

23 Dawes

In response to lower ridership on this route from the pandemic, service levels will be reduced in the morning peak period to better match scheduled capacity to average observed demand. Service in the morning peak will be scheduled to operate every eight-to-nine minutes. Service in other periods remains largely unchanged.

24 Victoria Park

In response to lower ridership on this route from the pandemic, service levels will be reduced to better match scheduled capacity to average observed demand. Service will be scheduled to operate eight-to-nine minutes in the early evening. Service in other periods remains unchanged.

26 Dupont

Schedules will be revised in all periods to improve service reliability and better reflect observed operating conditions. Service will be scheduled to operate every 24 minutes in the morning peak and every 26 minutes in the afternoon peak. Service in the late evening will be scheduled to operate every 22 minutes.

29 Dufferin

32 Eglinton West

Combined service will be scheduled to operate every five minutes midday and every seven-to-eight minutes in the late evening.

66 Prince Edward

Combined service will be scheduled to operate every eight-to-nine minutes in the morning peak, every 12 minutes midday, seven-to-eight minutes in the afternoon peak and every nine-to-10 minutes in the early and late evening.

75 Sherbourne

Effective date: May 10, 2021
Service will be reduced during the peak periods and midday from Monday to Friday, as ridership declines due to a reduction in the number of students travelling to George Brown College.

76 Royal York South

86 Scarborough

The schedules on this route will be adjusted to help improve service reliability. Service levels will remain largely unchanged in all periods, but trip times may change.

88 South Leaside

In response to lower ridership on this route from the pandemic, service levels will be reduced in the peak periods to better match scheduled capacity to average observed demand. Combined service will be scheduled to operate every seven-to-eight minutes in the morning peak period and every 12 minutes in the afternoon peak period.

92 Woodbine South

Effective date: May 9, 2021
Service will be increased on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays to accommodate increased summer ridership to and from the lake shore. Weekend service will be scheduled to operate every five minutes during the daytime, seven minutes in the early evening and 10 minutes in the late evening.

94 Wellesley

In response to lower ridership on this route from the pandemic, service levels will be reduced in the morning peak period and midday, from Monday to Friday, to better match scheduled capacity to average observed demand. 96 Wilson

In response to increased ridership on this route during the pandemic, service levels will be increased in the peak periods to improve customer convenience. Combined service will be scheduled to operate every eight-to-nine minutes in the morning peak, every 12 minutes midday and every 10 minutes in the afternoon peak, early and late evening.

100 Flemingdon Park

In response to lower ridership on this route from the pandemic, service levels will be reduced in the morning peak period and midday, from Monday to Friday, to better match scheduled capacity to average observed demand.

102 Markham Rd

Effective date: May 10, 2021
Service on 102A (Warden Stn-Centennial College) will be suspended during the daytime with the return of 902 Markham Rd Express. The 102A branch will continue to run in the evenings to provide connectivity with Centennial College. Service will be reallocated to 102B (Warden Stn-Steeles) to provide more service to employment areas in the Markham Road and Steeles Avenue area.

106 Sentinel

In response to lower ridership on this route from the pandemic, service levels will be reduced in the peak periods to better match scheduled capacity to average observed demand.

107 York University Heights/117 Alness-Chesswood

Effective date: May 9, 2021
As approved in the 2021 Annual Service Plan, the service on 107 St Regis and 117 Alness-Chesswood will be changed to reduce operating costs and improve financial productivity. The two routes will be merged into the new 107 York University Heights. Two branches will operate: the 107A will loop clockwise through the area operating via Keele Street, and the 107B will loop counter-clockwise through the area operating via Alness Street.

109 Ranee

In response to lower ridership on this route from the pandemic, service levels will be reduced in the afternoon peak period to better match scheduled capacity to average observed demand.

113 Danforth

In response to lower ridership on this route from the pandemic, service levels will be reduced in the peak periods to better match scheduled capacity to average observed demand. Service will operate approximately every 15 minutes during the peak periods.

116 Morningside

Effective date: May 9, 2021
The 116A (Kennedy Stn-Conlins/Ellesmere) will be cancelled and service in the Conlins Road area will be replaced by a new branch of the 905 Eglinton East Express. Service will be consolidated to operate between Kennedy Station and Finch, and the 116C branch will change to 116. In addition, schedules on this route will be adjusted to help improve service reliability.

119 Torbarrie

Effective date: May 10, 2021
New midday service will operate on this route to increase service on Wilson Avenue and to reduce crowding for customers. The new midday service will be scheduled to operate every 30 minutes.

121 Fort York-Esplanade

Effective date: May 9, 2021
Service will be extended to Ontario Place and Cherry Beach at all times. All service will operate on the 121D (Ontario Place-Cherry Beach) branch.

126 Christie

Effective date: May 9, 2021
The schedules on Sunday and holidays on the 126 Christie route will be adjusted to have more consistent trip times between all days of the week. The last trip from Christie Station will now be at 1 a.m.

127 Davenport

Effective date: May 9, 2021
The schedules on this route will be adjusted during all periods of the week to help improve service reliability.

129 McCowan North

175 Bluffer’s Park

Effective date: May 9, 2021
Bus service will be operated between Kennedy Station and Bluffer’s Park. Service will operate every 15 minutes during the daytime and early evening on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

900 Airport Express

Effective date: May 9, 2021
In response to lower ridership on this route from the pandemic, service levels will be reduced on weekends to better match scheduled capacity to average observed demand. Service will operate every 12 minutes on Saturdays and every 10 minutes on Sundays.

905 Eglinton East Express

The 905 Eglinton East Express will be extended to service the Conlins Road area and replace the 116A. This will provide customers with new express service and faster travel along the Eglinton East corridor.

924 Victoria Park Express

924 Victoria Park Express service will return Monday-Friday. Service will operate every nine-to-10 minutes during peaks.

925 Don Mills Express

Effective date: May 9, 2021
A new pair of express stops will be temporarily added on the 925 Don Mills Express at Overlea Boulevard and East York Town Centre/46 Overlea Boulevard to provide additional access for customers to the COVID-19 vaccination centre at East York Town Centre.

927 Highway 27 Express

Effective date: May 10, 2021
Service will be reduced in the midday and afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday as ridership declines due to reduction of students travelling to and from Humber College. The 927A (Humber College-Kipling Stn) branch will be removed for the summer. Service on the 927C (Kipling Stn-Humber via Atwell) branch will be reduced and service on 927D (Kipling Stn-Steeles via Royalcrest) will be increased during the peak periods to meet ridership demand north of Humber College.

929 Dufferin Express

941 Keele Express

952 Lawrence West Express

Effective date: May 10, 2021
A new pair of express stops will be temporarily added on the 952 Lawrence West Express at City View Drive/Kelfield Street to provide additional access for customers to the COVID-19 vaccination centre at Toronto Congress Centre.

989 Weston Express
> Express service resumes
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: May 9, 2021
989 Weston Express service will return Monday-Friday. Service will operate every 14-to-15 minutes during the morning peak and every 13-to-14 minutes in the afternoon peak.

Service Changes – Streetcar

501 Queen/301 Queen
503 Kingston Rd
> Temporary route change – City/TTC construction
Customer impact: Major
Effective date: May 9, 2021
Overhead and track construction on Queen Street, between McCaul Street and Parliament Street, will require 501 Queen streetcars to divert to Charlotte Loop via Parliament Street and King Street. Bus service currently operating to the west end of the corridor will be extended to terminate at Broadview Avenue. 503 Kingston Rd service will be adjusted to improve customer experience from Charlotte Loop. Four services will operate:
> 501 Queen streetcars will operate between Charlotte Loop (at Spadina/King) and Neville Park.
> 503 Kingston Rd streetcars will operate between Charlotte Loop and Bingham Loop.
> 501L/301L Queen buses will operate between Long Branch and Broadview Avenue – looping via Broadview, Gerrard and River Street.
> 501P Queen buses will operate between Humber Loop and Broadview Avenue – looping via Broadview, Gerrard and River Street.

504 King/304 King 
> Bus routing change/restructure – City Broadview watermain construction

Effective date: May 9, 2021
City watermain construction on Broadview Avenue will require streetcar service to be removed. A bus replacement service will operate between Broadview Station and Parliament Street to replace service on 504 King and 505 Dundas. Streetcar service will be consolidated to operate between Dufferin Gate Loop and Distillery Loop. 504G schedules will be adjusted to reflect the revised loop via Roncesvalles Yard. There will be no change to the 504Q service. In the overnight period, the 304 King will change to operate with buses in order to provide customers with a more continuous trip during the multiple construction projects affecting the route.

505 Dundas
> Routing change/restructure – City Broadview watermain construction
Customer impact: Major
Effective date: May 9, 2021
City watermain construction on Broadview Avenue will require streetcar service to be removed. A bus replacement service will operate between Broadview Station and Parliament Street to replace service on 504 King and 505 Dundas. The 505 Dundas streetcar route will turn back at Parliament Street, looping via Gerrard Street, Broadview Avenue and Dundas Street East.

506 Carlton/306 Carlton
> Construction ends
Customer impact: Major
Effective date: May 9, 2021
Construction affecting the 506 Carlton route will end and full streetcar service will return between High Park Loop and Main Street Station. Service will be scheduled to operate every 10 minutes or better in all service periods.

509 Harbourfront
> Seasonal service increase
Customer impact: Moderate
Effective date: May 9, 2021
Service will be increased on this route to improve customer convenience during the summer season. Service will be scheduled to operate every 10 minutes or better in all service periods, except early morning on Sunday when service it is scheduled to operate every 15 minutes.

510 Spadina
> Service change
Customer impact: Major
Effective date: May 10, 2021
Weekday service will be changed on this route to operate on 510B (Spadina Stn-Queens Quay) only. This will increase service levels on Spadina Avenue for customers between Spadina Station and the lake shore. Customers should transfer to 509 Harbourfront for travel to and from Union Station. There will be no changes to the 310 Spadina.
