Happy Canada Day!

I just wanted to send you a quick note to wish you all a Happy Canada Day.

As some of you may know, this will be my first July 1st as a Canadian citizen and I couldn’t be prouder! Last August, my family and I made the decision to officially make this beautiful country our permanent home, and we haven’t regretted it once. This has been a dream of mine since I was a young boy growing up in Boston in the 1970s and being a huge fan of all the Canadians on the Boston Bruins. So to celebrate this national holiday as a full-fledged Canadian is truly humbling and an honour.

While this has been a year full of immense challenges, you, the incredible TTC employees, have risen to those challenges to embody the Canadian spirit – one that is defined by hard work, determination and a true sense of community pride and well-being.

Thank you for all you do every day and your continued support of this great city. Enjoy time with your family or those in your close social circle on July 1 and stay safe!
