Organizational updates: Revenue Protection Department, Transit Enforcement Unit
Effective immediately, the TTC’s Transit Enforcement Unit (TEU) will split into two departments: TTC Special Constable Service and Revenue Protection.
The Special Constable Service will continue to provide the same professional, safety-minded support for our customers. The new Revenue Protection Department will deliver customer-focused revenue protection service and promote increased revenue through more taps, correct fares and reliable equipment.
It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of Michelle Jones as the Head of Revenue Protection and Jay Lawrence as the acting Head of TTC Special Constable Service. Michelle will report to me and the TTC Special Constable Service will continue to report to Orest Kobylansky, Executive Director of Operations.
Michelle joined the TTC in 1996. During her almost 24-year career, she has held several supervisory and management positions at the TTC, including roles in Finance, IT Services, Portfolio Management Office and Vehicle Programs.
Jay joined the TTC in 2002 as a Special Constable. He has held progressive positions in the Special Constable Service, in the Criminal Investigations Unit, and most recently, he managed the Training and Logistical Support Unit as Staff Sergeant.
The new structure of these departments will allow us to focus on two key TTC priorities: delivering a safe and reliable service for our customers and maximizing our revenue.
Please join me in welcoming Michelle and Jay in their new positions.
