TTC Fall Rewards & Recognition: Congratulations!

Dear Colleagues,

We’re in the midst of one of the most transformational periods the TTC has undergone in recent years. With the opening of the Line 1 extension only 46 days away, our entire organization is working together to achieve one of our greatest accomplishments. I am enormously proud of this company and of the collective and individual efforts I see every day to meet a very ambitious goal.

In this spirit of success, yesterday, the Executive Team and I presented a series of awards to a group of employees who have led by example in delivering excellent customer service, thoughtful creativity, outstanding leadership and commitment to safety and teamwork.

Recognizing and rewarding the outstanding efforts of our employees is a team effort: many of you took the time to nominate your fellow co-workers for their exceptional efforts on the job and to help tell the great stories that are all around us. These awards are symbolic of the fact that we have an incredible workforce and this celebration is one way we can recognize the talent we have here. We should all be proud of that.

As we close in on the opening of the Line 1 extension, this is an incredible opportunity to recognize how the broad and diverse roles, divisions, departments and people all contribute to making this organization a great place to work. I see great pride in this company; in the individual work you do and in the shared effort to make this the truly great transit system we all want it to be. That pride does not go unnoticed. This fall’s award recipients truly exemplify the behaviours we should all strive for.
