Steeles Avenue West Lane Reductions East of Murray Ross Parkway Overnight October 29, 2015

Beginning on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. and continuing until 5:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015, Steeles Avenue West will be reduced to one lane westbound and one lane eastbound from east of Murray Ross Parkway to Founders Road for line painting work. One lane will remain open westbound and one lane will remain open eastbound at all times. Due to the nature of the work, motorists and transit users may face traffic delays.
Paid duty officers will be on Steeles Avenue West directing traffic during the lane restrictions.
Work Hours
- Construction activities will begin at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29 until 5:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015. The City of Toronto normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. However, the City of Toronto has approved a noise by-law amendment for major transit projects which allows contractors to work extended hours, when required. Extended work hours are expected to occur at Pioneer Village Station until 2016.
Steeles Avenue West Speed Limit
Please be advised that the speed limit has been reduced on Steeles Avenue West between Murray Ross Parkway and Founders Road to 40 kilometres an hour and will be strictly enforced by Toronto Police.
