Early Start Concrete Pour for Finch West Station, Keele-Finch Neighbourhood, Tuesday, July 14, 2015
July 10, 2015
An early start concrete pour is scheduled for July 14, 2015 beginning at approximately 4:00 a.m. at the Finch West Subway Station construction site at Keele Street and Finch Avenue West.
This concrete pour is required to form a portion of the bus terminal roof of the future Finch West Station.
During this concrete pour there will be some construction noise related to construction vehicles backing-up. Every effort will be made by the contractor to minimize construction noise.
As the station construction progresses, additional pours will occur that may involve overnight work. Notices will be provided prior to any future overnight work.
The City of Toronto normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. however, the City of Toronto has approved a noise by-law amendment for Finch West Station which allows the contractor to perform work 24 hours, 7 days a week when required, to minimize impact on the local community. Extended work hours are expected to occur in the Keele/Finch area until November 2015.
This work is weather dependant and therefore dates are subject to change. The potential rescheduled concrete pour date will be scheduled the same week.
Your patience is greatly appreciated.
