Early Morning Power Substation Repairs on York Boulevard September 27, 2013

In the early morning of Friday, September 27, 2013, there will be emergency repairs to the temporary power substation at York University Station construction site eastbound on York Boulevard. The repairs will close the right lane on eastbound York Boulevard from 5:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. One lane will remain open on eastbound York Boulevard. Traffic flagging personnel will be stationed on York Boulevard to ensure safe traffic flow.
Pedestrian Access
Pedestrians are reminded to be alert and use designated walkways and crosswalks.
Work Hours
- Repair work in the right lane of York Boulevard will run from 5:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. on September 27, 2013.
The City of Toronto normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. However, the City of Toronto has approved a noise by-law amendment for major transit projects which allows contractors to perform overnight and weekend work for the duration of the project, when required. Extended work hours are expected to occur at York University. When extended hours are scheduled at the York University Station Site, construction related notices will be issued.
