Northbound Keele Street Closure Extended Finch Avenue West to Murray Ross Parkway

The northbound Keele Street closure from Finch Avenue West to Murray Ross Parkway has been extended until further notice.
Watermain chlorination testing continues in this active construction zone.
Detour signs are posted to redirect traffic to alternate routes (see map). Motorists will face traffic delays.
Motorists please obey all signs and slow down through this construction zone.
Businesses on Keele Street Remain Open
Access to all the businesses on Keele Street between Toro Road to Finch Avenue West will be maintained. Northbound and southbound traffic will be permitted along Keele Street south of Finch Avenue West. Motorists travelling northbound along Keele Street will have to detour at Finch Avenue West.
Alternate Routes
The alternate northbound detour route is east on Toro Road, north on Tangiers Road and west on the Murray Ross Parkway extension back on to Keele Street northbound. Finch Avenue West traffic will detour north on Tangiers Road to Murray Ross Parkway to access Keele Street. Southbound traffic will not be affected.
TTC Bus Route Services
Transit delays may be experienced on 36 Finch Avenue West, 107 Keele North, 41 Keele and 196 York University Rocket bus services. A small portion of the York U Busway will also be closed to westbound buses from Tangiers Road to Keele Street. Buses will use the Tangiers Road and Murray Ross Parkway to access Keele Street.
Work Hours
The City of Toronto has approved a noise by-law amendment for major transit projects which allows contractors to perform overnight and weekend work for the duration of the project, when required, to minimize impact on the local community. Extended work hours are expected to occur in the Keele/Finch area.
- Finch West Station construction work is permitted from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., 7 days per week.
- Tunnel construction using Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) and related activities including excavation are permitted 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, for safety and efficiency purposes.
Pedestrian Access/Walkways
The multi-use pathway on the west side of Keele Street will remain open during construction. Please take extra care while travelling near construction areas.
