March 13, 2012

Starting the week of March 12, 2012 the first of four tower cranes will be delivered and assembled at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre station site and is scheduled to take approximately three days to complete. The remaining three cranes will be delivered and assembled by the end of July 2012 and will be in place for approximately 2 years. Three cranes will be located north of Highway 7 and one will be located on the south side as shown in the location map below.

As the assembly takes place within the construction site there will be no impact to motorists or pedestrian in the community.

These tower cranes support the transfer of building materials such as; reinforcing rods, concrete, electrical and mechanical equipment, into the excavation site in order to build the station.
