Overnight and Holiday Work Keele-Finch Neighbourhood April 5th to April 8th 2012

April 5, 2012

Construction continues on Keele Street from Finch Avenue West to Four Winds Drive over the holiday weekend from April 5th to April 8th, 2012. Construction work this week includes excavation activities in the extraction shaft which is a piece of the tunnel construction and civil works at the Finch West Station site. During the work, there may be construction related noise.

Work Hours

The City of Toronto normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. However, the City of Toronto has approved a noise by-law amendment for major transit projects which allows contractors to perform overnight and weekend work for the duration of the project, when required, to minimize impact on the local community. Extended work hours are expected to occur in the Keele/Finch area.
