Southern Tunnel Construction - Lane Restrictions on Keele Street south of Finch Avenue West

Construction begins this month on Keele Street from Finch Avenue West to Catford Road on a portion of work associated with the construction of the southern tunnels. The work is necessary as part of the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension (TYSSE) project.
Construction work involves:
Single-lane restrictions and periodic lane diversions in both directions on Keele Street south of Finch Avenue West to Catford Road, for southern tunnel subway construction.
Work Hours
- Work will normally run between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
- No work will be done on Statutory Holidays.
- During the work, there may be construction related noise.
Lane Restrictions
There will be single lane restrictions and periodic lane diversions on Keele Street in both directions from Finch Avenue West to Catford Road. Due to the nature of the work motorists may face traffic delays. Work in this area is expected to be complete in April 2012.
TTC Bus Route Services
Transit delays may be experienced during peak times on the 41 Keele bus route. Your patience during this time is greatly appreciated.
Pedestrian Access
The sidewalks will remain open on one side of Keele Street at all times to maintain pedestrian access during this portion of construction.
