Update: Sheppard Avenue West and Bakersfield Street Utility Works
December 13, 2011
This week there will be lane diversions and restrictions on Sheppard Avenue West at Bakersfield Street in both directions. Traffic will be maintained in both directions shifting from the north to the south side of the road. Utility work began last month on Bakersfield Street from Sheppard Avenue West to north of the St. Regis Crescent intersection. Bakersfield Street will remain open but will be narrowed from Sheppard Avenue West to St. Regis Crescent. TTC Bus Route 107 Keele will not be travelling on Bakersfield during this construction and will not be servicing the stops at Bakersfield and St. Regis Crescent. Alternate stops will be posted along the detour. The detour is Tuscan Gate, westerly section of St. Regis Crescent, Ceramic Road to route (blue line on map).
Construction work includes the construction of a sanitary sewer. Lane restrictions on Sheppard Avenue West and Bakersfield Street are expected to finish December 20, 2011.
