York University Bus Rapid Transitway Diversion and Keele Street Lane Restrictions December 13-14

Emergency watermain repairs will begin this evening from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. southbound on Keele Street at Murray Ross Parkway. Part of this work includes construction on the Downsview to York University Bus Rapid Transitway (BRT). Due to this construction activity, there will be a temporary overnight diversion of the BRT onto Murray Ross Parkway from Tangiers Road to Keele Street.
Work Hours
Work will begin Tuesday, December 13th at 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. December 14th.
Lane Restrictions
The BRT will be closed from from Tangiers Road to Keele Street. There will be single lane restrictions and periodic lane diversions on Keele Street at Murray Ross Parkway. Traffic control personnel will help ensure safe movement of pedestrians and vehicular traffic. This work is expected to take approximately four hours.
Detour Route
A detour route is now open around the intersection of Keele Street and Finch Avenue West to help ease traffic during construction. The Tangiers Road detour route extends from the Murray Ross Parkway extension to Toro Road back on to Keele Street.
TTC Bus Route Services
TTC buses that normally use the BRT will be using Finch Avenue West and Murray Ross Parkway as the diversionary route.
