Construction Keele Street from Catford Road to Toro Road

Construction Notice No. 6
Work crews will be working overnight and on weekends starting Monday, August 15, 2011 - Thursday, September 15, 2011.
Construction continues this month on Keele Street from Catford Road to Toro Road, on a portion of work associated with the construction of the southern tunnels. The work is necessary as part of the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension (TYSSE) project.
The City of Toronto has approved a noise by-law amendment which allows the Project contractors to perform overnight and weekend work to minimize traffic disruptions and keep the project on schedule.
Construction work involves:
- Excavation and installing excavation support systems.
Work Hours
- Overnight and weekend work will run from August 15th - September 15th, 2011.
Lane Restrictions
Lane restrictions continue on the northbound curb lane of Keele Street from Catford Road to north of Toro Road. Due to the nature of the work motorists may face traffic delays.
Pedestrian Access
The sidewalks will remain open at all times to maintain pedestrian access during this portion of construction.
