  • November 29, 2011: Tunnel Boring Machine "Yorkie" begins tunnelling operations (north tunnels).
  • November 2, 2011: Tunnel Boring Machine "Moley" begins tunnelling (south tunnels).
  • November 2, 2011; Contract awarded for A65-29 for Track Installation to Herzog/Delta, A Joint Venture.
  • September 8, 2011: Contract awarded for A31-1 for Steeles West Station to Walsh Construction Company Canada.
  • June 21, 2011: Contract awarded for A37-1 Vaughan Corporate Centre Subway Station to Carillion Construction Inc.
  • June 18, 2011: Tunnel Boring Machine "Holey" is readied for tunnelling (south tunnels).
  • June 17, 2011: Official Launch of Tunnel Boring for the Toronto-York Spadina Extension.
  • June 2, 2011: Contract awarded for A27-1 for Finch West Station to Bondfield Construction Co.
  • April 7, 2011: Contract awarded for A65-31 for Supply of Precast Concrete Double Ties and Elastomers to Munro Concrete.
  • January 19, 2011: Contract awarded for A35-26 for Highway 407 Station and the Northern Tunnels to OHL/FCC.
