Last train and bus times, Sunday-Friday

Though train service ends early, shuttle buses between Eglinton and Finch stations continue until the usual end of service:

  • Last train northbound from Eglinton Station 12:21 a.m.
    Last shuttle bus northbound from Eglinton Station 2:10 a.m.
  • Last train southbound from Finch Station 12:15 a.m.
    Last shuttle bus southbound from Finch Station 1:50 a.m.

Tunnel Liner Rehabilitation project

The original scope of work for the Yonge subway Tunnel Liner Rehabilitation Project identified the need to repair approximately 620 precast concrete tunnel liner rings as well as the removal of acoustic insulating material on the tunnel liner surface between Eglinton and Sheppard Station

Currently the total number of tunnel liner rings identified for repair has increased to approximately 960 as a result of continuing inspection of the rings as acoustic insulating material is being removed, thus extending the projected project completion date to December 2013.

However, there still is a significant number of tunnel liners that are covered with acoustic insulating material. As this material is removed, the tunnel will be re- inspected and could potentially reveal the need for additional liner repair that could extend the project completion into 2014.

Train service on the YONGE Subway north of Eglinton Station will end early at night, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Sunday to Friday, for necessary tunnel maintenance work. Trains will operate from Downsview Station to Eglinton Station.

A frequent accessible shuttle bus service will replace the subway between Eglinton Station and Finch Station. The replacement buses will serve the bus terminals at Eglinton Station, Lawrence Station, York Mills Station, Sheppard-Yonge Station, and Finch Station.

Regular service will operate on Saturday night (early Sunday morning); trains will continue to operate through to Finch Station until the usual closing time.

The bus terminals at Lawrence Station, York Mills Station, Sheppard-Yonge Station and Finch Station will remain open until the usual station closing time.

North York Centre Station will close after the last train departs.

The automatic station entrances at Lawrence Station (Bedford Park/Ranleigh), York Mills Station (South Entrance) and Sheppard-Yonge Station (Poyntz Entrance and West Entrance) will close after the last Yonge train departs. The Harlandale Entrance at Sheppard-Yonge Station will remain open until the usual closing time.

Trains on the SHEPPARD SUBWAY will continue to operate with the usual service levels and last train times, but after 12:29 a.m. they will serve the north platform at Sheppard-Yonge Station instead of the south platform.
