Work description and purpose

On July 22 and 23 there will be no subway service on Line 2 between Broadview and St George stations in order for TTC to conduct track work and for City crews to make important repairs to the Prince Edward (Bloor) Viaduct. Regular subway service resumes on Monday at 6 a.m.

This section of Line 2 is also scheduled for weekend closures on August 26/27 and October 7-9. Visit ttc.ca for a full list of scheduled subway weekend closures.

Transit service - shuttle buses

All westbound subway trains will terminate at Broadview Station. All eastbound subway trains will terminate at St George Station. During the closure, shuttle buses will run on Bloor St. and Danforth Ave. between St George and Broadview stations, stopping at all stations along the route.

To improve shuttle service, some articulated buses will be used to supplement service; these articulated buses will not enter Broadview Station. After dropping off customers, the buses will loop in a clockwise direction east on Erindale and Hurndale Aves., south on Playter Blvd., and west on Danforth Ave. to the route. This route has wider streets for the articulated buses and a signalized intersection at Danforth and Playter for safer and more controlled turns onto Danforth Ave.

Wheel-Trans buses will also operate between St George and Broadview stations upon request. Customers can speak with any TTC staff member to request the service.

Temporary parking restrictions on Ellerbeck St. and Playter Blvd. - 3:30 a.m. Saturday to 12:01 a.m. Monday

Toronto Police will temporarily restrict parking on Erindale Ave. between Broadview Ave. and Ellerbeck St. and on Playter Blvd. between Hurndale Ave. and Danforth Ave. from 3:30 a.m. Saturday to midnight Sunday. No permit parking will be lost due to these restrictions.

Thank you for your patience as we work to improve transit infrastructure in Toronto.
