Islington Station - overnight construction activity on bus bays
July 8 to 10, July 22 to 24, July 29 to 31 and August 12 to 14
Work description and purpose
Crews will be repairing deteriorated areas of the bus bay during multiple weekends - July 8 to 10, July 22 to 24, July 29 to 31 and August 12 to 14. This will involve concrete chipping, concrete mixing, and other tasks that may be heard by nearby residents.
Repairs are required to ensure the safe operation of buses through the bays. This work must be completed on weekends as the work areas are spread across the entire bus bay. The newly placed concrete will also require sufficient time to cure before re-opening the bus bays to regular operations. For this reason, crews will be working around the clock from early Saturday morning to early Monday morning.
On the listed dates, work will take place from Saturday 4:30 a.m. to Monday 4:30 a.m.
Access to Islington Station will be maintained however all bus boarding will take place outside the station. Signage will be in place and customer service representatives will be available at all times to provide direction.
Thank you for your patience as we work to improve transit in Toronto.
