Glenayr Substation - roof rehabilitation
April 29 to end of September
What we are doing and why?
Late last year, temporary repairs were made to the Glenayr Substation roof (near Millbank Avenue and Glenayr Road; north of St Clair West Station).
Starting the week of April 29, work crews will begin roof rehabilitation that will include the application of new roof material.
The traditional method of liquid asphalt application (asphalt kettle) is not being used. The roofing system used is a 3-ply membrane applied with heat; therefore, odour will be less.
Dust and debris disposal
Dust will be controlled as much as possible. Material storage, disposal and staging area will be to located on TTC property however there may be times where work vehicles are parked on the street.
Work will typically take place during regular daytime hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, and may extend to 8 p.m. if needed. Noise will be kept to a minimum as best as possible. Material deliveries will be made during the day time.
Thank you for your patience as we work to improve transit in Toronto.
