501 Queen - Temporary route change during track maintenance

The 501 Queen streetcar route operates between Neville Park Loop and Long Branch Loop, generally in an east-west direction. It serves Queen and Osgoode Stations on Line 1 Yonge-University. Both Queen and Osgoode Stations are accessible subway stations.

Accessible service

Effective April 1 to June 24, 2018

Accessible buses will temporarily replace streetcars on portions of the route due to construction. Buses will operate between Long Branch Loop and Ellis Avenue.

The route is part of the 10 Minute Network, and operates 10 minutes or better, all day, every day.

Two services are operated. The 501 (Neville Park-South Kingsway) branch, operates at all times, seven days a week. The 501L (South Kingsway-Long Branch) branch, temporarily operated with buses, operates at all times, seven days a week.


Streetcars operate from Neville Park Loop (on the southwest corner of Queen Street East and Nursewood Road) via west on Queen Street East, west on Queen Street West and west on The Queensway to South Kingsway.

Eastbound 501 TO NEVILLE PARK

Streetcars operate from South Kingsway via east on The Queensway, east on Queen Street West, and east on Queen Street East to Neville Park Loop.

Westbound 501L TO LONG BRANCH

Buses operate from Ellis Avenue and The Queensway, via west on The Queensway, and west on Lake Shore Blvd West to Long Branch Loop.


Buses operate from Long Branch Loop via east on Lake Shore Boulevard West, east on The Queensway to Ellis Avenue.
