224 Victoria Park North - York Region Transit contracted service change

The 224 Victoria Park North bus route operates between Don Mills Station on the Sheppard Subway, the area of 14th Avenue and Hood Road in the Town of Markham, and the area of Major Mackenzie Drive East and Hazelton Avenue in the Town of Markham, generally in a north-south direction. Accessible service is provided on the route. Don Mills Station is an accessible subway station. Bike racks are available on this route.

Two services are operated.  The 224D (Don Mills Stn-Major Mackenzie & Hazelton) is the main branch, and operates during the peak periods from Monday to Friday only.  The 224C (Don Mills Stn-14th Avenue) short-turn branch operates during the peak periods, from Monday to Friday only.

Northbound 224C TO 14TH AVENUE / EXTRA FARE REQUIRED NORTH OF STEELES

These buses operate from Don Mills Station via east on Sheppard Avenue East, north on Victoria Park Avenue, west and north on Steelcase Road, east on John Street, north on Woodbine Avenue, east on Riviera Drive, north on Rodick Road, and east on 14th Avenue to Hood Road.

Southbound 224C TO DON MILLS STN

These buses operate from 14th Avenue and Hood Road via south on Hood Road, west on Denison Street, south on Esna Park Drive, west on Steelcase Road, south on Victoria Park Avenue, and west on Sheppard Avenue East to Don Mills Station.

Northbound 224D TO MAJOR MACKENZIE AND HAZELTON / EXTRA FARE N OF STEELES

During the morning peak period from Monday to Friday only, these buses operate from Don Mills Station via east on Sheppard Avenue East, north on Victoria Park Avenue, west on Denison Street, north on Woodbine Avenue, west on Lanark Road, then south, west, north and east on Cochrane Drive, north on Frontenac Drive, west on Centurian Drive, north on Allstate Parkway, east on Valleywood Drive, north on Renfrew Drive, east on Hooper Road, continuing north on Woodbine Avenue, then west, north and east on Hillmount Road, north on Markland Street, east on Major Mackenzie Drive East, continuing north on Woodbine Avenue, east on Stony Hill Boulevard, and south on Hazelton Avenue to Major Mackenzie Drive East.

Southbound 224D TO DON MILLS STN

During the morning peak period from Monday to Friday only, these buses operate from Hazelton Avenue and Major Mackenzie Drive East via west on Major Mackenzie Drive East, south on Woodbine Avenue, east on Denison Street, south on Victoria Park Avenue, and west on Sheppard Avenue East to Don Mills Station.

Northbound 224D TO MAJOR MACKENZIE AND HAZELTON / EXTRA FARE N OF STEELES

During the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday only, these buses operate from Don Mills Station via east on Sheppard Avenue East, north on Victoria Park Avenue, west on Denison Street, north on Woodbine Avenue, east on Stony Hill Boulevard, and south on Hazelton Avenue to Major Mackenzie Drive East.

Southbound 224D TO DON MILLS STN

During the afternoon peak period from Monday to Friday only, these buses operate from Hazelton Avenue and Major Mackenzie Drive East via west on Major Mackenzie Drive East, south on Markland Street, then west, south and east on Hillmount Road, south on Woodbine Avenue, west on Hooper Road, south on Renfrew Drive, west on Valleywood Drive, south on Allstate Parkway, south on East Valhalla Drive, then west, south, east and north on Cochrane Drive, east on Lanark Road, continuing south on Woodbine Avenue, east on Denison Street, south on Victoria Park Avenue, and west on Sheppard Avenue East to Don Mills Station.
