Route 129A travels between Toronto and York Region. PRESTO cards can only be used on TTC buses in Toronto. Please do the following when paying your fare on these routes:

  • Travelling from York Region to Toronto: Pay fare using TTC fare and YRT fare plus (YRT fare or TTC fare plus cash supplement)
  • Travelling from Toronto to York Region: Pay fare in Toronto with a PRESTO card or TTC fare. When exiting the bus in York Region, pay your YRT fare using YRT fare or TTC fare plus cash supplement

All TTC buses (except Community and Wheel-Trans buses) have bike racks so that you can bring your bike with you on your journey. Depending on the bus type, bike racks can hold one or two bikes. The racks are easy to load and unload, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

All accessories must be removed from the bike prior to loading as they may impede operators' sight lines. Please remove water bottles, air pumps, panniers, child carriers, solid baskets, bags and other loose items before boarding. The Operator has the right to refuse use of the bike rack to keep clear sightlines.

The 129 McCowan North bus route operates between Scarborough Centre Station on Line 3 Scarborough, the area of McCowan Road and Steeles Avenue East, and the area of McCowan Road and Major Mackenzie Drive East in the City of Markham, generally in a north-south direction. Accessible service is provided on the route. Scarborough Centre Station is an accessible station. Bike racks are available on this route.

Two services are operated. The 129A (Scarborough Centre Stn-Major Mackenzie) branch operates until approximately 11:20 pm from Monday to Friday, and until approximately 10:20 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The 129B (Scarborough Centre Stn-Steeles) branch operates at all times, seven days a week.

Service between Scarborough Centre Station and Steeles Avenue is part of the 10 Minute Network, and operates 10 minutes or better, all day, every day.

Northbound 129A TO MAJOR MACKENZIE / EXTRA FARE REQUIRED NORTH OF STEELES

These buses operate from Scarborough Centre Station via east on Triton Road, north on McCowan Road, west on Major Mackenzie Drive East, south on Ridgecrest Road, west on Castlemore Avenue, and north on The Bridle Walk, east on Major Mackenzie Drive to Ridgecrest Road.

Southbound 129A TO SCARBOROUGH CTR

These buses operate from Major Mackenzie Drive East at Ridgecrest Road via east on Major Mackenzie Drive East, south on McCowan Road, and west on Triton Road to Scarborough Centre Station.

Northbound 129B TO STEELES

These buses operate from Scarborough Centre Station via east on Triton Road, and north on McCowan Road to Steeles/McCowan Loop (on the east side of McCowan Road, north of Steeles Avenue East).

Southbound 129B TO SCARBOROUGH CTR

These buses operate from Steeles/McCowan Loop via south on McCowan Road, and west on Triton Road to Scarborough Centre Station.

All buses on the route serve local bus stops along the route.
