  • TTC to close portion of Line 1 for 10 days to accelerate system improvements
    April 9, 2021
    Beginning at 6 a.m. on Mon., April 12, the TTC will close the portion of Line 1 between St George and St Andrew stations for 10 days to carry out tunnel lining repairs, asbestos removal, station cleaning, and track upgrades.

    April 9, 2021 - As the TTC continues to work towards a completely zero-emissions fleet by 2040, it is pleased to bring two key updates to its Board meeting on April 14.

    April 8, 2021 - Today, the TTC released results from the first phase of a Racial Equity Impact Assessment that will be critical as the organization develops new and improved policies for the collection and use of race-based data.
  • Portions of TTC Lines 1 and 2 to close this weekend
    April 7, 2021 - This weekend, Sat., Apr. 10 and Sun., Apr. 11, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Finch and St Clair stations due to construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT (ECLRT).
  • Portion of TTC Line 1 to close early next Mon.-Thurs.
    April 1, 2021 - Mon., Apr. 5 through Thurs., Apr. 8, subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Finch West and Lawrence West stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. for track work and leak remediation.
  • TTC service changes start Monday to accommodate King-Queen-Queensway-Roncesvalles construction
    April 1, 2021 - Starting on April 5, the intersection of King Street, Queen Street, The Queensway, and Roncesvalles Avenue (KQQR) will be partially closed with replacement TTC service being required on the 501 Queen and 504 A King routes. The reason for this partial closure is to accommodate important infrastructure upgrades being made by the TTC and the City of Toronto in the area.
  • TTC to hold session for engineering, construction graduates
    March 31, 2021 - The TTC invites recent graduates of engineering, construction and technical post-secondary programs to attend a virtual recruitment information session on Thurs., Apr. 1.

    March 20, 2021 - Mayor John Tory, Scarborough-Agincourt Councillor Nick Mantas and TTC CEO Rick Leary celebrated the official opening of the TTC’s newest state-of-the-art bus facility, McNicoll Garage, located at Kennedy Road and McNicoll Avenue in north Scarborough.
  • Upcoming TTC Subway Closures
    March 11, 2021 - There will be scheduled closures affecting subway service this weekend and next week.
